We know they're Deluxes, so, $14 each?

Already confirmed no co-op, however, Escalation is supposed to return.

Considering the utter clusterf*ck that co-op was, i'm ok with it not coming back.
Escalation on the other hand, i'm glad to hear. That's my crack.

I can't imagine such a character-driven game could use of custom characters in single-player mode, especially one that already makes use of iconic characters dating back through almost 30 years of fiction. Think about the bickering between the Seekers; it kind of ruins the flavor when an insult to Skywarp is received by someone who is clearly not Skywarp.
Short version: I seriously doubt it.
As for the toys themselves; WfC Megatron is sitting proudly on a table next to my desk, but he lacks a reasonable army. I'll have to get the Combaticons so he can invade and conquer my laundry. It only makes sense.

Actually the Decepticon side DID have white, it was on the same color-thingy as black.

I don't see how it can ruin anything, since it would be your own choice to use your custom character. The misplaced characterization would just be a minor sacrifice in order to use your own color scheme. Besides, who says it's no longer Skywarp just because he isn't black and purple? It's your character.
It's like swapping skins in other games. It may not match up with what's going on very well, but it's fun and looks cool. Wouldn't it be fun to play through single-player campaign as Ultra Magnus, Black Convoy/Nemesis Prime or Powered Convoy? Sunstorm and the Rainmakers? Stepper, Megatron in Galvatron colors, G2 Bruticus or Ruination? The potential is endless if they did it right. I just think limiting that to online multi-player is ridiculous. At least make it possible after beating the game.

Plus I hate Drift, so there's that.
It could work, in theory, at least, as long as voice files are added to accommodate it. Like, have Drift comment that he saw Optimus heading to the Decagon earlier. Something to at least to make it look like they put effort into it, instead of slapping a new character in and calling it a day.

On the one hand, it doesn't look like too much has changed, which is a good thing, actually, but it does look better than the first.
On the other hand, they mention smashing your way into Decepticon territory...as Bruticus.
Also, triple changing doesn't look like it's making much use of triple-changing. You hold down R1 and move fast...just like the first game, only this time, Vortex transforms into an entirely new vehicle.
Also, co-op was not the first game's strongest asset. If anything is going to suffer from the lack of multiple bots per campaign, it's going to be the witty banter. I loved that witty banter...
Short version: Game looks awesome, video was dumb, shut up and take my money!
