Edit: Never got why they gave it to Alternity Megatron and none of the Datsun brothers.

That's a two door car. The 4 door version is the Altima, I know because I drove one. There's no way I'd be able to fit in a 2 door car.

What always got me was that people always bitched about the G1 toy being silver, except for the very brief original run with him being blue and silver, when in all reality, his name has absolutely nothing to do with his color and everything to do with his personality. All complaining aside, this is one beautifully done MP. It's just a shame that we didn't get this one sooner but hey, at least we finally have it and they have done an amazing job on it.

This belief doesn't make me ignorant or stupid. So again, you can state your thoughts without making blanket statements like that. Many people share your view on the whole "Bluestreak" debate and I didn't say anything like that when their opinion differed mine.

And FYI: HasTak never released him in blue. It's a common misconception.

Alternity Prowl/Bluestreak?! That'd be awesome

Also, correction sir, the 370Z is the latest version of the famed Z cars. They even made it shorter and lighter than the 350Z!

Also, if anyone is looking for the 4 door version of a Z, look to the Infiniti Q40 (formerly the G37/G35) in the U.S. not the Altima (or even Maxima, the fabled "4DSC"). Same layout, front engine-rear wheel drive (or all-wheel if you'd like, which isn't available on the Z).

I really can't wait for this version of Bluestreak. Blue is awesome.

That baby looks even more akin to it's early 80's predecessor. And this one would make a sweeta$$ Bluestreak!

I was in LA (the land of cars) this past weekend. I was eating dinner with a group of friends, and in mid sentence, when a silver 84' or 5' Datsun Z rolled by. I stopped, head popped up and followed. Everyone laughed that that car got my attention. They laughed even harder when I told them It's my favorite transformer.

I thought you would, they really have tried to take cues from those 80's versions! You can really tell with the rear quarter windows. And the body lines. And the shortened rear/front overhangs. It's good stuff to be a car fan nowadays.

There was a game a few years ago called Tokyo Xtreme Racer (still have it for Dreamcast) and you could build one of those Datsuns (the last 'boss' drove one). Mine was gunmetal and black. Aww yeah.

I really don't want to step in something here, but..his original tech spec says exactly that- he talks a blue streak to keep his mind off of the fact that the Decepticons destroyed his home. It's right there, in print, and pre dates marvel and sunbow. They chose to have him as a minor background character, but he should have had diarrhea of the mouth.

Problem with disagreeing is, he doesn't have much of a personality beyond "Such senseless violence" from Transcontinental express".

I'm pretty sure he talked excessively in issues 4 and issues 10-11 of the Marvel series (written by bio/character creator Bob Budiansky) for other examples.

Also, Transformers Universe made mention of his Disperser rifle firing a devastingly powerful but somewhat inaccurate blue beam.

So there's that.

I remember in #3 of the Limited series when Gears thought to himself how Spiderman reminded him of Bluestreak. And we all know how blabbermouth Spidey is......

In all the fiction I've seen and read, the one that stands out as having given the spotlight to Bluestreak more than any other fiction has was the much-reviled Transformers Trilogy novels (A.K.A. the "Keepers Trilogy") written by Scott Ciencin and David Cian, in which he was portrayed not as a yammering blabbermouth, but instead as a tortured soul with a heavy chip on his shoulder after his having been killed in combat by Jazz (the two were forced to fight each other to the death lest some innocent humans be killed in cold blood, and Bluestreak was willing to let Jazz be the victor to prevent further human killings), and then having his corpse being reanimated and possessed by a Keeper as its new host body. He got his life back later, but the possession left him as an unwilling sleeper agent of the Keepers until they were finally destroyed, freeing him completely in the end, but not without having endured so much misery and torment through it all.

According to TakaraTomyMall the release date for MP-18B Blue Streak has been delayed from August 1 to September 29! Stranger still the website has Blue Streak's release date at August 29th. Rather it's 8/29 or 9/29 it's a slight delay and will be here soon enough! While you wait why not check out Seibertron.com's gallery of the original release of Masterpiece Bluestreak MP-18 here.
