Episode #152 "The Hollow Men" is available directly and in our RSS Feed, and should appear on iTunes and Stitcher Radio within 24 to 48 hours of when you see this news post.
Be aware that this episode is entirely about IDW Transformers comics and will completely spoil many storylines from several books, so listening after catching up with the most recent material is recommended if you wish to avoid spoilers.
As always, we start at the start, looking at what the significance of the re-emergence of the Galactic Council might mean for events in this book and beyond. There might even be some realizations about where the General has been seen in the past!
The twists, turns, and revelations found throughout the latest issue of MTMTE will be tough for many to forget, and were especially unpredictable. We take a look at some of the more controversial reveals, and get a lesson in where we might want to look for character elements in the future.
Of course, this story also wouldn't be the same without Prowl. Wait, Prowl!? How does he keep coming up every episode of this show?
There's only so much we can say about this one without loading up this news post with spoilers about the plot, but rest assured we cover all the details we can think of. Might there have been a few that we weren't fans of?
While Scotty might not be able to get his thoughts organized while on the air, blogger Thistlebot (spoilers behind this link!) put together a great article about some of the thematic elements, especially surrounding edits and what they convey. Read the article around the point Mr. P starts rambling, then keep on with the show. (No really, do that, it's kind of embarrassing but I didn't edit it out.)
Sometimes there's just no talking like this guy.
Wondering what's up with the title of this episode? Maybe not, but if you are, then sit back and enjoy the good Dr. Va'al connecting the themes of Issue 55 and "Dying of the Light" on the whole to T.S. Eliot's The Hollow Men. Fun fact: this news post was almost nothing but that poem.
Connections to "Remain In Light" start to come into focus as we wrap up the show. The speculation and theories really fire up by the end, with both the hollow planet that frames this story in focus along with somewhere we might have seen other uses of this mold before. And no, we're not talking about Combiner Wars toys this time.
We hope you enjoyed this latest episode of Twincast / Podcast spin-off Mainframes, and stay tuned for future episodes as the ongoing IDW Transformers saga continues to unfold! We'll see you in the discussion thread for this episode which you can join in on by replying to this very news post.

I agree that some things felt like they were rushed and may have been unplanned, but I thought it worked for what we got.
I took Overlord leaving as his personality. He obsessed with something, but then was fooled into thinking that what he wanted would not happen. He wanted the grand fight, but only got a coward, so he decided he'd have no more and left. I would think the GC would want to kill him too and would not have told him to leave.
Still wondering about the little blue orb. It could be the Geobomb with an honest mistake, but I'm not as convinced as I was. I'm also not believing the Rewind's spark theory, but wilder things have happened.
I took Ravage as saying that Megatron should not change back to an Autobot. I took that as Ravage saw Megatron remove the damaged part of the Decepticons and now they could be more of what they originally were as freedom fighters.
I'm also unsure about Skids. Considering the whole he saw the other side of the portal and potentially the knights, I feel that cannot go unnoticed. that needs touched on, as does his relationship with Rung considering their awkward final farewell, and poor Nautica.
I would also want to see Optimus' statue. And maybe some others.
That's all I got for now
