Episode 87 "Toy Fair 2014" is available directly and in our RSS Feed and should appear on iTunes within 24 to 48 hours of this news post.
It is the year 2014 and the heroic Seibertron and El Duque have come to retake New York City. The reason, why it’s TOY FAIR of course! The one event that makes our wallets cry as each new figure is revealed. There was definitely a lot of excitement this year so let’s get right to it.
0:00 - 33:30 (times are approximate)
First up is the next wave of Generations figures. Hasbro has unveiled some pretty awesome figures so tune in to hear which ones we pick as our favorites!
33:30 - 43:00
Up next we discuss the interesting new Age of Extinction Robots in Disguise line. The question on everyone’s mind is, what is up with Scorn and it seems Lockdown has been perfecting his pouty lips!
33:30 - ??:??
We have finally gotten a glimpse of the new Age of Extinction movie Generation figures. The classic flat nosed Prime is pretty cool, but a purple triceratops!? NO WAY
??:??- 1:07:30
KREO LIVES (Pa-lease, as if it had ever died)… Yes, you heard right… Hasbro unveiled the next wave of Kreo sets, custom kreos and the ever popular blind bag figures.
1:12:13 - 1:19:07
The Loyal Subjects…while the custom figures that were revealed at Toy Tokyo over the weekend were pretty nifty, the twincast has a hard time getting behind these. Tune in to find out why.
1:19:07 - 1:28:00
Closing out the toys, the twincast discusses the new fascination with super kid friendly figures like Hero Mashers, Constructbots, Potato heads and Battlemasters. Will the cast be buying these for the tater tots in our family?
1:28:00 - 1:46:01
Now that we have covered Toy Fair, we’d like to dive into some “Ask the Twincast” questions from our listeners! Did your question get picked? Tune in to find out.
We close out the night with some bragging rights…What kind of deals was ScottyP able to score? You’ll have to tune in to hear.
Thanks everyone for listening and we appreciate the continued support!
Not on the show to give your take? Probably not, so don't forget to keep the discussion going on the Seibertron.com Energon Pub Forums!
Got a question for the Twincast? We take all of them, we just don't take them all seriously! Leave a question in the Ask the Twincast thread and, if it makes the cut, it may get read and answered on the show.

I bet that is Hound, right? Hound if he were a bullet smoking, bearded human marine??
Posted by shockblast2 on February 24th, 2014 @ 1:34pm CST
And a nose. For what? Breathing?
So much for the silliness being removed from the Bayformer movies like he promised.....

Yup that is supposed to be Hound. Hey, he's got a very rough and tumble military vibe going though with the bullet belt he carries, kinda like Rambo!
Well, um... the characters in the original cartoon had noses too...

Yeah, but nostrils too? The nostrils are what made me shake my head. The "noses" in G1 were not like this. The thing looks like it is supposed to be a human or something.

ha ha Sgt Bulkhound...I like that, has a catchy ring to it
but at least I feel that, with how he looks...he still will maintain some of what Hound was known for...I hope...I pray....

Hmm good point, the nostrils do seem to be pretty unnecessary...unless they are going to be sniffing energon

LOL...I like that. The thing looks more like Brawn than Hound. Not that it really looks like Brawn, but closer than Hound. I really can't understand how these people who claim to know about TF's make these judgment calls on characters. I can just see Bay in a board meeting giving the thumbs up to anything that resembles any human he has ever directed as a Transformer. Lockdown there kinda resembles Ben Affleck. Maybe its name isn't Lockdown after all, but Ben Afflecktron. He'll spend the whole movie with extreme close ups rambling on about how someone just needs to get him in a plane.....

As well all know G1 shockwave is the only logical Robot face, it has an eye, and a voicebox..............somewhere.

Yes, because machines totally don't need to 'breath' to keep internal systems running...

Yup. Direct download like normal, and it went swimmingly, possibly the fastest a Twincast Podcast episode has ever downloaded for me.SW's SilverHammer wrote:Sabrblade wrote:The audio in this one is really quiet for some reason. Same here, the podcast usually take about 20 minutes for me, but this on was done in about 4-5.

Just checked the audio. Seems great on my computer. Sabrblade, maybe try downloading the episode again? It should be about 57.94 MB. Have you tried listening to previous episodes again to see if the problem happens with other episodes?
Posted by Sabrblade on February 24th, 2014 @ 8:44pm CST
Just tried downloading it again, same method of direct downloading, and it took a bit longer this time, but the result is the same: Softer audio.
But, I've already listened to it all the way through, anyway.

Everyone seems to pronounce the "mania" like in "pyromania". I've always thought it was a play on "maniacal"... am I 100% wrong on this?

Not a stupid question at all. You would think he does, but he doesn't.
YOTH Prime comes with the trailer, gun, & axe.

Sadly, many folks still don't know about that story.Doctor McGrath wrote:I have to disagree with Mike's comments about Roadbuster never doing anything important. Agreed. I'd love to see it reprinted into a one shot or something with some art to really bring it to life.

I assumed it was pronounced your way as well...and I will continue to pronounce it that way even if I hear otherwise as it sounds better that way.

To be honest, I really don't like all the various 3rd party names. I don't put much thought into them at all.
Now that you put it like you did, I'm inclined to agree with you.
Still, it's just Galvatron to me.

First thing that popped into my head was Judd Nelson saying "Claire's a fat girls name" hahaha
but hey, gotta listen to the woman if you want to get where you need to go in one piece
