Seibertron.com forum member and frequent contributor, chuckdawg1999, has brought us a video review of the latest and last wave of Battle Masters from the Transformers Generations: War for Cybertron Trilogy - Siege line, due out by the end of 2019! One of the featured figures is Singe, another classic G1 Targetmaster partner for Spinister, along with Shrute (née Hairsplitter), who was available in the Decepticon Phantomstrike Squadron Multipack, an Amazon.com exclusive released earlier this year. Deluxe Class Spinister himself will be showing up any time now in the final Deluxe Class wave for Siege. Our old pal Chuck shows off Battle Master Singe compared to his Autobot mold mate Firedrive, noting the paint differences and new "blast effects," redecoed in green from Battle Master Aimless. The other new figure is none other than Rung, a newer Transformers character who debuted in IDW's Transformers comics from over the past decade and a half. This is an all new mold, not shared with any other Battle Master, and the face sculpt is an amazing likeness to the character as portrayed in the IDW comic books. Enjoy Chuck's video below:
What? You want MORE coverage on Battle Masters Rung and Singe!? Look no further than our own Seibertron.com toy galleries! I'm willing to agree with this. I am also willing to say that Artfire will be a selects release or exclusive of some sort
So far, most molds have seen a retool being released, some of them being "legacy retools" (based on the original G1 toys. So Sideswipe into Sunstreaker will not happen, Red Alert already fills that role). I can see this being continued in Earthrise, so Inferno and Trailbreaker will almost definitely happen, with Exhaust (Wheeljack) and Hubcap (Cliffjumper) as more than decent bonuses.
That said, with Barricade as a "Decepticon Prowl made out of Smokescreen", this presents a grand opportunity to be cheeky and make a "(G2) Decepticon Smokescreen out of Prowl":

Forget about Exhaust, the Marlboro Bot. It's time for Slicer!

Exhaust has the cooler head though, I would prefer him over Slicer personally not that I'm opposed to them making a Slicer since he's cool to.

Slicer would be easier for Hasbro and Takara to do, just because it's a straight up repaint. Marlboro is a little tougher, not only because it requires a head retool, but also because they have to strike a delicate balance between the original Diaclone "Marlboro Wheeljack" deco and what is legally allowed in Hasbro markets, given that the original deco is trademarked by Philip Morris, and that it is a "children's toy" that references tobacco products. Takara had a HELL of a time releasing Masterpiece Exhaust a few years ago, and selling it outside of Japan was even more of a hassle for third party sellers like TFSource and BBTS.

Yeah, after that fiasco, I'd really be surprised if Hasbro would ever touch another Exhaust toy with a ten foot pole.Wolfman Jake wrote:Deadput wrote:AcademyofDrX wrote:Forget about Exhaust, the Marlboro Bot. It's time for Slicer!

Because I have Apeface pre-ordered on there, and haven't actually gotten any notification saying it's cancelled, but I'm also worried they may end up just not sending out copies to people who pre-ordered with them
I wouldn't be too worried yet. This happened before on something transformers that I pre-ordered from them, but I don't remember which one. The page was eventually restored and I ended up getting whichever one it was on time. I would keep an eye on the ship date (mine says November 15th release, arriving November 17th.) If they miss that date, then I would pre-order from Hasbro Pulse if you have a premium membership, or add something else you would end up buying anyway to get above $70 for free shipping.
Alright, fair enough. The only other time I've ordered anything from Amazon was Punch/Counterpunch so I was just concerned, but thanks for the quick reply
So I just cancelled my Spinster and Crosshairs pre-order with Amazon in favor of Hasbro Pulse, since Pulse is saying ready to ship December 1st, and Amazon says January 1st.
However, I did notice something weird with the Amazon pre-order for Apeface. No, the Amazon Listing isn't fixed and still says page not found, and according to Amazon I'll still be getting him on November 19th.
I noticed that according to the original pre-order, they only had him as $24.99 instead of $29.99. I wonder if that has something to do with them removing his Listing from their site? In any case, I guess next week will tell if I'm going to be abandoning the Amazon order for Hasbro Pulse on Apeface as well, or if Amazon will come through, even without a current Listing.
Okay, so even though Amazon's Listing for Apeface is currently gone, and in my order history they have him priced at $24.99 instead of $29.99, I did just get my ship notification and should have him tomorrow.

The listing is up for me and I just ordered him for $24.99. As you can see from the snippet, it says release date is tomorrow! Needless to say I cancelled my Pulse pre-order...

Awesome! I was able to find the listing on Amazon.com thanks to your tip! The price is still $24.99, advertised as marked down from $29.99. I put in my order and it should be here in a few days thanks to free 2-Day shipping with Amazon Prime. I've canceled my Hasbro Pulse order now too. I've got Rung and Singe coming from BBTS and got Rumble, Ratbat, Direct Hit, and Power Punch from TFSource earlier this week. I just have to wait now for Hasbro Pulse to fulfill my preorders for Astrotain, Crosshairs, and Spinister.

I had him on pre-order with Amazon, but it was the regular $19.99 price for deluxes. Amazon's delivery date for them was Jan 2nd, while Hasbro Pulse was December 1st, so I cancelled Amazon and went with Pulse. But weird, now I can't find Spinster or Crosshairs on Amazon anymore, much like Apeface disappeared for a while.
Not sure what to make of that.

Check Walmart from time to time. I had Spinister, Crosshairs and Apeface preordered there for $17.99 for the deluxes and $24.99 for Apeface. Spinister isn't showing up right now, but the other two are for those prices.

I'll just leave this here:
G1 Apeface Tech Spec wrote:"Obnoxiousness is not a problem, it is an art."
Thoroughly obnoxious -- pounds loudly on his chest plates, insults everyone he talks to, knocks over anyone in his way, never changes his lubricant so he smells like a grease-encrusted turboworm, and spits fuel in public. Binary-bonded to the nervous, insecure Nebulan Spasma. In jet Mode, maximum speed: 3250mph, emits powerful jamming frequencies. In ape Mode, has super-agility. In robot Mode, carries electro-shield and semi-automatic sonic boomer gun.

A few of us should have our Apeface in hand as I know a bunch of peeps hit that Amazon listing at the same time. Mine just showed up and this is quite the update from the original! I've yet to transform him but just look at that beauty. He feels incredibly solid, has a weight to it. Feels heavier than my Takara Legends Octane.

Sadly, this is correct. It appears to be a translucent blue plastic that was painted. Both the gun, which is solid black plastic, and the shield's posts are pretty snug in the 5mm ports.

I must have lucked out when it comes to shield QC then because the shield's post is fairly okay, but my figure's gun only really pegs in securely to the hand. Every other port it's too loose of a connection for it to stay.

Actually, I think it would be cheeky of Hasbro if Crosshair's secret message was "Trenchfoot," which would pretty much confirm that the Battle Master that came with the Autobot Alphastrike Counterforce set from Amazon is supposed to be G1 Pinpointer.

That happened with PotP Metalhawk and Cloudburst: some had two Prime Masters with one occupying the shell. Simple factory errors, really.
