Since the Rise of the Beasts toyline is using new names for their size classes in the more gimmicky toys, fans have been a bit puzzled as to the size. It also doesn't help that the limited articulation makes it hard to tell if a toy is deluxe, scout or even legion sized. Hopefully the reviews below help clarify that for the Battle Changer class. We've seen reviews for Optimus and Bumblebee since last year and now we have some for Rhinox and Mirage. Enjoy!
chuckdawg1999 wrote:I think Mirage is supposed to be part of Wave 02 but with the way figures are being released, who knows? Regardless, Mirage is a really fun, simple transforming interpretation of the character in the film. The flip-out weapon gimmick is fun and doesn't take away from the rest of the figure. I'd like to see the Battle Changer Class transcend the movie line and become the new entry point class in the future.
And here are review for Optimus and Bumblebee if you need a refresher.

Fellow Seibertronian Whirlkick has found some Rise of the Beasts toys in the UK at Smyth's. You can read their report below. We also have reports of the 2 Beast Mode Bumblebee and Optimus toys out at Smyth's in Gillingham, first posted here by TFMJ where we can see them next to various other ROTB toys like the Smash Changers.
"The RoTB mainline figures are now available in different places the UK, such as Smyth's and The Entertainer. It seems the embargo date was April 10th so the floodgates have now opened!
The figures are showing as available on the Smyth's website, which includes figures like the mainline deluxes. When I was at Smyth's in Watford today, none of the figures were out on the shelves yet, as they hadn't yet allocated space for the new figures as there's so many of them and so little shelf space for Transformers. The UK community should keep an eye out for TF sales for non-ROTB figures at Smyth's!
I had to ask someone working there to get the figures from the back for me, which they did. I bought the mainline deluxe Bee and the Optimus/Chainclaw pack. I've included some photos, including a side by side of mainline Bee with SS Bee."

The Rise of the Beasts news just keeps on truckn'. We had showed images of Beast Mode Optimus Prime and Battle Changers Scourge earlier. Well now we have more stock images of them in good definition.
We also have the stock images for the deluxe toys, the Voyager toys, Battle Changers Mirage and the Wheeljack two pack

It's hard to keep up with this new Rise of the Beasts toyline with there being so much product all coming out at the same time across the globe. When it comes to the US, almost everything has been released, now that the voyagers and flex changers have been found. Both the voyagers (which includes Optimus Prime and Optimus Primal) and the flex changers (the one steps) were found at Walmarts across the nation.
You'll also notice the absence of the main villain, Scourge, in these more kid friendly lines. Well, there's more of him coming. We now have images of Battle Changers Scourge (simple conversion toy between scout and deluxe class) and Beast Changer Scourge (with Scorponok armor). We also have images of the rest of the single released deluxes. So now you have even more options to buy everyone's favourite Bespectacled Autobot, Wheeljack.

The Beasts are going to keep being a steady presence on shelves in the Legacy Line next year. We already know of Tigerhawk in the leader class, but now we see we will get some in the smallest class as well.
Thanks to TJPrime17 for sharing these 2 new listings with the community. They are for core class Dinobot and Cheetor. The Cheetor listing is quite interesting since it is labelled as "BM" rather than "BW" Cheetor. Could be a typo/error or.... it could mean Beast Machines is back! These two are set to come out in the 2024 Legacy line.
Tra Gen Legacy UNI Core BW Dinobot
Product Number: F8519
EAN: 5010996216212
Tra Gen Legacy UNI Core BM Cheetor
Product Number: F8520

Do you all remember the Beast Mode Bumblebee toy that was revealed a little while back? It was Bumblebee in his Camaro form but he had extra bird bits for a "super" robot mode. Well, we know an Optimus was coming too and now we finally have images.
Of course, no surprise, the beast mode acts as extra parts to create a super robot mode with beast elements. In this case, it is a white lion, which is a great choice given the existence of Leo Prime. You can see the images below. You'll notice that Prime here has the same alt mode we've seen for most of the line, which is an off road truck.

Good news for fans of the new Transformers Retro series which has the G1 molds in the G1 show colours, Thundercracker has been found at Walmart. Canadian Walmarts for now, but he should be found in the US soon as well. He is $47.97 CAD and has while he has been found across Canada, the sighting below is from the Montreal area. There is also a review of this toy below if you are curious about mold degradation or missile firing pressure and how it looks like next to the other G1 retro figures.

For those who long for the days of Takara's decos, they are now tackling the Beast Wars characters from the Transformers Kingdom line. They are releasing them in two packs and so far we have Megatron/Primal and Scorponok/Rhinox. We have put all images below, some old, some new, so that you can get a full sense of the line so far. From what we have seen of the initial listing, while prices are higher than standard retail releases, it's less than a 20% premium.
It is cool to see that Megatron sports the alternate headsculpt that was never officially released yet.

News from the Rise of the Beasts toyline just keeps piling. In the world right now, the two waves of voyager class figures are being released simultaneously. Which makes sense as all these toys were produced last year and are only now making their way to retailers all at once. We saw that voyagers Primal and Prime were found in Mexico and now we have Pre (repack) and Rhinox found in Australia at KMart. That same sighting also shows us more single packed deluxe figures, like Bumblebee who we had only seen in that three pack. The images below come from Tf fan Ratchet 208.
In other sightings news, a new Mirage toy was found in the US and on E-bay. It is part of the Battle Changers assortment, which are similar to the mid sized Authentics toys.

We have some more images of voyager class Optimus Primal, this time from the @transformers.snapshots page on Instagram. These show a comparison with Kingdom Optimus Primal. While both are of the same character and the same size, it is interesting to see how they are also completely different toys in terms of sculpt, detail, look and even have a different transformation, from what we see in the video below. Of course, the Rise of the Beasts one looks woefully in need of colour, though it is trying to use the colour palette of the live action film.
We also see that it is only slightly shorter than voyager Optimus Prime. There will be a Studio Series release of ROTB Optimus Primal as well, which has yet to be revealed.

Hasbro just had its live stream, revealing several bots. Here are the reveals along with some notes:
-The War Dawn two pack: while it was found in Canada at Gamestop, it is going to be an SDCC exclusive in the US according to the live stream.
- Beachcomber: He comes with a Parrot "slug" accessory. His roll bar folds up and his front bumper becomes his gun.
- Devcon: based on SS86 Blur, but can't tell immediately which parts he shares.
- Axelgrease is a female Decepticon Junkion partial of Scraphook, but very heavily tooled up (looks to be a stock car instead of a toe truck).
- Single retail Dirge was shown.
- Nemesis Leo Prime is exactly what you'd expect. They painted the cat head with pupils this time.
- Armada Megatron looks very cool! Has many of the same features as the original. Teased compatibility with something later in the line! (Tidal Wave??)
- Armada Prime was finally revealed. There's a video of Hasui talking about the figure and showing him next to Megatron. They look really good together. The box is nice with art showing him mid transformation. Pre-orders open 4/18.
- They previewed the Titan Class Nemesis, by showing an unfinished version. They wanted to show it before it got leaked. Bottom fin and split so it can actually land. Bot mode "Last Decepticon" is very lanky and feminine. Comes with some seeker jet slugs. Lots of hidden handheld weapons on her, that was really lacking from the Ark, I guess that's in exchange for not having a Deluxe figure built into her like the Ark. Pre-orders 5/2.
New "Spacebridge" previews (stuff we already know about), all Studio Series stuff: SS Core Bumblebee, SS86 Brawn, SS Games Cliffjumper and Megatron (side note, they've been thinking about this since 2018!), SS RotB Rhinox and Optimus Prime (OP is a Target Buzzworth Bumblebee exclusive, heavy partial of the original Voyager from the Bumblebee movie).

While we got a ton of sightings for the Rise of the Beasts toyline, we have to remember that it was just the first wave and even more is to come. Case in point, this new Wheeljack figure. This Targetmaster type of toy is a Beast Alliance figure like Optimus Prime and Optinus Primal except he comes with the Rhinox Targetmaster which can also be bought separately. It's good that we get wind of this toy now so that fans who may want this toy know not to buy the Rhinox figure early. The images come from this Instagram post.

The Holiday Prime we got a while ago is getting a G1 Optimus Prime repaint. So not the G2 Hero Prime people were hoping for, but you'll let us know if you are still into it. We now have a very good look at the toy. We have in hand images from Banshee who posted them on the TFW2005 boards and we have a review from Prime vs Prime. We thank -Kanrabat- for bringing it to our attention.
Also, for everyone wondering VNR is just the name of the truck.

Fans are getting their Studio Series Rise of the Bests Leader Scourge. He has been distributed to retailers across the US and Canada, so Amazon.com is shipping him out and collector shops like Geekstuff in Quebec has him on shelves. For those who did not see his packaging, you can see it below in this image from fellow canadian Seibertronian Kanrabat. We also havea video review from Chuckdawg1999 who bathed the figure in black light to reveal the look we get which is similar to what we've seen on the concept art where it looks like he is burning from within.

With the Rise of the Beasts mainline voyagers out, we are getting a better look at them. Below you'll see more images of the voyager Optimus Prime, which is a slightly shorter and more streamlined version of the Bumblebee Optimus Prime design we've previously had in Studio Series. Negronicus posted this quick pictorial review to give you an idea of what's in store with this guy and he posted images on the TFW2005 message boards.
We posted them below along with a size comparison image we have previously seen. If anyone is wondering about the flaps at the edges of the alt mode near the smoke stacks, they are from the real truck, but exaggerated in proportion. We have an image for you to compare the alt mode.
I know alot of people are going to get put off by his size (and lack of paint apps), since his vehicle mode is deluxe size and robot mode is a bigger deluxe. However, i really like the detail and articulation of the mold, and I hope it comes back with better paint apps. Only complaint i have is head is on a swivel instead of ballpoint, other that that articulation is on par with SS BB prime, the waist articulation is a little but limited by the mold.

Seibertron.com recently posted new galleries of two awesome Transformers figures from the Heroes of Cybertron and SCF toy lines: Metroplex and Black Zarak. These non-transforming figures are sure to excite collectors with their high level of detail and quality craftsmanship.
The Heroes of Cybertron toy line was first introduced in 2001 and features small non-transforming figures of various Transformers characters in their classic forms. Metroplex, featured in the Seibertron.com gallery, stands at about four inches tall and features intricate detailing on his chestplate, weapons, and other parts of his body. The cartoon styling on this figure make it a must-have for any Transformers fan.
Black Zarak is another popular figure from Takara's SCF toy line. This menacing figure stands at just under four inches tall and captures the dark essence of the character. The figure's intricate detailing and ominous presence make it a great addition to any collection. Unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to take comparison photos with the original Black Zarak (which was sold before obtaining the SCF version, and this toy was sold a few years ago prior to the Generations Selects version). It is roughly the same size as Metroplex.
Seibertron.com's galleries showcase the level of detail and craftsmanship that have made these figures popular among collectors. The galleries feature multiple angles of the figures and highlight their paint jobs, styling, size, and more, allowing fans to fully appreciate the figures' design and to determine if these are figures that they would like to add to their collections.
Overall, the new galleries of Heroes of Cybertron Metroplex and SCF Black Zarak on Seibertron.com are sure to please Transformers fans and collectors alike. With their attention to detail and high level of quality, these figures are a must-have for any fan of the franchise.

The first images we got for the Transformers Rise of the Beasts voyager class Optimus Primal were unflattering. He seemed barely painted and all monochrome. While that may still be the same opinion you draw after seeing the photos below, they at least show us that there is some colour variation. We also get to see the beast mode which has that prominent arched back like a silver back gorilla. The photos come from Negronicus who posted them on TFW2005. We also have a very quick transformation video to share which was posted on youtube. Let us know what you think!
We also have comparison images to the other gorilla modes from tf fan Jeff who posted them on Facebook.

This is going to tickle a few of you out there, remember that Blitzwing toy/charcter from the Bumblebee movie that looked more like Starscream than anything else? Well the voyager sized Nitro Series Energon Igniter Blitzwing toy we got from that line has actually been repainted in G1 Starscream colours and is being released as Starscream in the Rise of the Beasts toyline.
It was found in Mexico, along with Flex Changers Cheetor (one step Cheetor), which is also a new toy we never saw before. This Starscream does have a wavemate and it is a rerelease of the voyager sized Nitro Series Optimus Prime, which sports his Evasion Mode body. These Energon Igniter mold reuses are all part of a Autobots Unite subline which we are assuming is store exclusive, with good odds of that being Walmart.
Hasbro had stated that the voyager class velocitron Hot Rod was not picked up by Walmart which instead was prioritizing exclusives for the Rise of the Beasts film and this could be that exclusive line they are going all in on. Of course, that is yet to be confirmed.
The images of these new Mexican sightings were found here.
