Hasbro has been slow to reveal some new Transformers toys, probably due to domestic market uncertainties linked to preorders, which is the current rumour. It’s status quo for Takara, on the other hand, so they are revealing the following Studio Series figures and have them up for preorder in Japan:
TFOne Elita 1
TFOne Starscream
SS86 Megatron
SS86 Mixmaster
SS86 Scavenger
There is also a Takara exclusive Thundercracker and Reflector set
You can check out all the images below

We have two Transformers: Wild King episodes for you. The new 6th episode and the 5th episode with fansubs.
Episode 6
"New Allies, New Threats"
Notes on Thunderbreak: Hmm, Thunderbeak is obviously voiced by a woman and sounds like a woman, but uses the first-person pronoun of "boku" (僕) at one point, which is a male pronoun. I get the feeling that if Thunderbeak was meant to be female, the toy advert at the end of the video would point that out, but it doesn't. I guess this means we're meant to perceive Thunderbeak as merely a young and/or somewhat effeminate boy character.

We have a video review for the amazon exclusive Transformers Wreck 'N Doom Collection Carnivac and Fisitron. Both feature a lot of retooling which fellow Seibertronian Chuckdawg goes into. Enjoy!
chuckdawg1999 wrote:I'm surprised that the figures with the most new tooling are packed together and not mixed in with Spinister and topspin.

xRotorstormx is a fellow Seibertronian and her collection was featured last night on MeTV's Collector's Call show. The collection is valued at $250,000 and featured such rarities as the Japanese exclusive Dino Casettes and the Raiden combiner from G1 and still in their boxes.

We finally have a good look at both Studio Series deluxe Widowmaker and SS86 Leader Megatron.
Our look at leader class Megatron comes from a video from Icon of Iacon. They also posted a video of Widowmaker, who of course has a lot more vehicle kibble on her than her concept art.
Edit: the videos have since gone private but we have some images below to show you the figures

Another teaser from Takara Tomy went out on X last night, this time for a mysterious new use of the Inferno mold, which has already been used for Grapple and Artfire, in the MPG line. The most obvious guess would be Hauler, the (sometimes) green version of Grapple which hasn't seen a Masterpiece release yet. What we can tell so far is that it features the alternate gun/nozzle hand, the chromed realistic truck front and a new flatter truck front we haven't seen before. What's really intriguing is the head sculpt, not just the face, but the entire head area, appears to be new and there's no sign of a crane or ladder on the back of the truck.
This guy is a real mystery, feel free to post your own theories in the Energon Pub forums!

"OK, Reflector, let's see what you can see." It was a scene that only lasted a few seconds in the first ever episode of the G1 Transformers cartoon, "More Than Meets The Eye, Part 1", but for many of us the image of a giant jet robot peering through a rather normal looking camera will forever be burned into our memories. And it's that image that Takara Tomy is looking to bring to our shelves with their latest and perhaps most ambitious Dramatic Capture set yet. And by ambitious I mean we're getting four figures this time instead of three, even if three of these figures are the same figure. There won't be any mold changes as we should be used to by now, so expect all the same heavy greeble of the original figure. At the very least we can hope for the parts from the "Refraktor Reconnaissance Team 3-Pack" and a small Reflector accessory for Thundercracker to hold. And that's not to downplay the significance of getting a new shot at Earthrise Thundercracker (though with a new deco) who we haven't seen since he was packed with Skywarp in hard to find Target exclusive way back in 2020!
More news when we get it. In the meantime let us know if you're looking forward to a new chance at a complete Reflector in G1 cartoon colors in the Energon Pub Forums!

Thanks to Amazon Japan, Takara Tomy and Telemaga, we now have loads of images of the third wave for the Transformers Wild King line. This one has redecos of the central bots, with Optimus being Nemesis Prime, as well as a stand alone limb, Abyssrain.
There is no indication that western retailers will be stocking these so your best bet if you want them is to order directly from Amazon Japan.

Over on X Takara Tomy has given us our first real look at the highly anticipated Studio Series Transformers the Movie (SS86) Megatron as well as the last two Constructicons Scavenger and Mix Master, and Transformers One Starscream and Elita-1. They didn't say when the full reveals would be coming, just that they'd be "soon", but hopefully we can look forward to a full reveal next week!
Big thanks to our own Seibertronian, Sabrblade for posting this in our own Energon Pub forums where you can let us know what you think of this teaser.

Takara has a second wave of limb bots (and a backpack) for their Wild King line. As with the previous limbs, most share the same parts and have identical transformations, except for the Pteranodon, called WKB-08 Thunderbeak. The others are WKB-05 Ignite Leo, WKB-06 Spirituan and WKB-07 Drillnohorn (rhino). The images come from Telamaga. These were made for Japanese children and not adult collectors, making it a bit tricky for collectors outside Japan to order.

While a staple of the 80s and 90s, the glow in the dark gimmick has not been used much with Transformers. While there have been some examples, it's been sporadic and minimal to the point where Hasbro never released a glow in the dark Transformers figure outside of the crossover line. UNTIL NOW!
Yup, not only is the Earthspark toyline still around but it will be breaking new ground with the brand by giving us a Glow in the Dark Megatron toy. All we have is this image here below of Cyberglow Megatron. It is a glow in the dark version of the warrior Megatron toy, and the image comes to us from In Demand Toys.

We still have some new Earthspark toys coming out, like this set of Optimus Prime with trailer. Neither are fully new toys, though there are changes in deco to thr trailer and changes to tooling for Optimus. Fellow Seibertronian Chuckdawg has a review below showing all that this set entails for those curious.
chuckdawg1999 wrote:This fun toy is a throwback to the classic G1 Optimus Prime. I appreciate the new tooling on the Warrior Class figure, which gives us a cleaner vehicle mode.

We knew we were getting a Transformers themed color shifter in the 3rd mix of 2025's Color Shifters but we just didn't know which one it would be. There have only been 2 "new" castings for Transformers Hot Wheels so far, Optimus Prime and Bumblebee so we figured it could be one of those. But no. Instead, Hot Wheels has picked a previously available Corvette casting with a plastic body, often used for more gimmick related sets. It being a Corvette, they have turned it into Tracks, with a body that goes from Blue to Black. So from Tracks to Loudpedal, if you want to see it through a more fun lens.

Prime vs Prime has leader class Studio Series 86 Megatron in hand and while he is making his review, he is giving some descriptions of the toy online. Below is what he posted on the TFW2005 boards pertaining to the figure:
- SS86 Megatron in robot mode is EVERYTHING you would want from his G1 design
- He’s mostly all grey plastic with a very pale painted grey faceplate. The back is immaculate! If it wasn’t for some very vague tread detailing on the legs, you’d never even know he transformed into a tank.
- He includes the sword he used to slash prime with in the movie, his back gun barrel and himself as the Walther P38
- Red sides are present and [there is red] on the bicep too
- Hands articulate exactly the same as 86 Prime. Red sides are present!
- Completely brand new - nothing is the same compared to Megatronus
In other news, the upcoming SS86 Mixmaster has been showing up on E-bay. Now, we have a great look at the toy and how it compared to the previous Generations version from Combiner Ware. It basically looks night and day, especially since the truck mode was very different from the G1 version.

The Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast is back and questioning each other, its own existence, and the latest news. Your host ScottyP is joined by Aaarnhide19, Counterpunch, and Megatronus to discuss all things Wild King, Evangelion Cross-overs, and the Shizuoka Hobby Show. Scotty also allows Counterpunch to interrogate the cast on burning questions that you will not want to miss. Get in the mech Shinji, it's going to be a wild king ride.
Episode #375 “20-ish Questions” is available directly and in our RSS Feed, and should appear on Apple Podcasts and many other Podcatcher sites within 24 to 48 hours of when you see this news post.
Here's what we discuss in this episode:
What do municipal service employees really think of the Takara Wild King line of Transformers? They don't know and neither do we.
Several new images from this year's Shizuoka Hobby Show take us all the way from Diaclone to Macross to Zoids and back again, as usual, to Hauler. Sure.
Counterpunch reclaims his rightful place as host, at least for a little while, to go inside the podcaster's studio and ask on-the-spot personal questions to the other cast members. Most of them are appropriate, too.
Bragging Rights conclude another episode, as is tradition.

Amazon has released its new exclusive, the crash combiner set of Optimus Prime and Bumblebee. Chuckdawg1999 reviewed it so that we can now have as much info as possible about it. Here are his thoughts on the set below.
chuckdawg1999 wrote:Here's something new. It seems like Amazon wanted another exclusive set of Transformers, and Hasbro responded with the return of Crash Combiners. If you remember RID 2015 Combiner Force, you remember these fun figures, the definition of a fidget toy. There's not much articulation, it's all gimmick, and the gimmick is fun!

Some Transformers Cyberworld toys are coming in early, like the Chomp & Battle Grimlock. Chuckdawg1999 got his hands on one so we have a review for you below. It should be said though that this is a figure meant to interact with other figures, like the configuration with Optimus Prime. So since the other figures are not out, that whole aspect isn't shown.
chuckdawg1999 wrote:This is a fun figure, but I wish some of the other figures were released at the same time to really take advantage of all the features.
