Here is some fun news, trailers all follow a similar formula and run time so during a projection glitch at a showing of the Guardians of the Galaxy vol 3, both the trailers for The Little Mermaid and Transformers Rise of the Beasts played at the same time. It made for the ultimate film, as you can see in this clip posted on Twitter.

Hasbro/Paramount are ramping things up with there being only 1 month left before the release of Rise of the Beasts. We finally have a clip showing a lot of the main heroes meeting up for the first time. This gives us a good look at the finished CGI, the bots in motion, and how Arcee and Wheeljack talk. We do get a sense of what Wheeljack will look like for the majority of the film, which is without the "ears", and he does have to rearrange his glasses when being hit, as fans feared.
We also had another clip from a boxing match promotional crossover where we had half a second more of the previous trailer's footage giving us a good look at the exosuit. It is distinctly Mirage themed, lending credence to the test screenings we previously reported on where that exosuit is also Mirage's essence.

Wave 2 of the Earthspark toyline is getting a haphazard release, with different classes being made available at different times in different places. So fans have had access to this Megatron and Thrash for a good while, getting them online, and this past week we've been getting reports of them being found at brick and mortar stores. They have been found in Walmarts in several states, like Ohio and Maryland.
We have reviews below to see if they these are up your alley.
chuckdawg1999 wrote:Finally, Earthspark Megatron is here to complete the wave 01 Warrior Class figures from the Earthspark line. I have to say that this figure is just as good if not a little better than the Deluxe Class version of Megatron. Transformation is simple and the weapon gimmick doesn't interfere with the figure at all. There's a surprisingly large amount of articulation, including waist swivel and ankle pivot. I highly recommend this version of Megatron especially if you're passing on the Deluxe Class version.
chuckdawg1999 wrote:Of all the Warrior Class figures I've looked at for the Earthspark collection, Terran Thrash stands out as the best. The transformation process is seamless and unlike any other motorcycle transformation, I've seen before. Similar to the other Warrior Class toys, the weapon feature does not obstruct the robot's movements and enhances the overall experience of the toy. If you are considering purchasing just one Warrior Class figure from Earthspark, Thrash should be your top choice.

Seems like it has been a while since we got a reveal at a toy show. The Shanghai Expo is underway right now and Hasbro has a really nice display for the latest Transformers figures, including the reveal of Studio Series Rise of the Beasts Optimus Prime. This item will be released in the Buzzworthy Bumblebee line, which means it will be a Target Exclusive toy in the US. This is a partial of SS BB Optimus Prime but it looks like most of the parts are different. As with the mainline ROTB voyager toy, there is a lot of unpainted grey plastic. You'll let us know what you think. The latest reveals from the Legacy line were also on display, like the Nemesis and leader class Armada Megatron. These images come from Weibo.

Fellow eagle eyed Seibertronian Nemesis Primal has kept an eye on the asian toy markets where sellers list new toys before they are revealed. Well, at the same site where we had our fisrt indication for Magnificus, we have a listing for an upcoming Rodimus Unicronus toy. No picture of the actual toy is provided, but smart money is on this being a redeco of SS86 Hot Rod. We do not know if it would be released in the Shattered Glass line or as Rodimus Unicronus in another line like Generations Selects. Let us know if that would interest you.
Nemesis Primal wrote:Remember when we found out Selects Magnificus existed because some guy sold an early copy on Shopee as "Shattered Glass Perceptor"? Well in a very similar vein, someone recently put up a new listing on there for "Rodimus Unicronus", using a picture of specifically the inner bot from the PotP figure and a price that falls between Voyager and Leader when converted to USD. Based on that, it seems to me like there's a solid chance that one of the other Shattered Glass figures for the year after Grimlock is Rodimus, most likely from the SS86 mold.

As we just described, the Rise of the Beasts mainline is not widely sold online and more of a brick and mortar based line, which leads to a bunch of possible distribution issues. So, seeing as how a new toy from that line is available on Amazon.ca, we wanted to let you know. the Weaponiser Wheeljack set is available from Amazon.ca and shipping June 1st, priced at $22.99 CAD. It comes with a new Wheeljack toy and a repack of the Rhinox battle master. We also have a video review of this toy to share with you from ChurrotheShibe.

This article is more to shed light on a fact that many people in the west may not know about. As many americans are aware, global distribution will cause local shortages and imbalances in supply and demand. We saw that with Cosmos, where the UK got an ample supply while the rest of the world did not and with Galaxy Shuttle, where Canada got a very healthy supply. But, a Yoda would say, there is another, right now. And it's the voyager class figures from the Rise of the Beasts line, the toyline aimed towards kids which many fans have chosen to ignore.
Of course, not all collectors, and that's where the heat is coming from. Unlike the Rise of the Beasts figures released in the Studio Series line, the mainline toys are not widely available in online collector shops across the world, and not all are on various national Amazon sites either (not even Entertainment Earth has them). So, believe it or not, that voyager Optimus and Optimus Primal you may see in your local Walmart are highly coveted, since there is no way but through brick and mortar retail to get them. And we all know how that type of distribution can turn out.
Due to this, both are selling for over MSRP online right now, with Optimus Primal selling for double his price thanks to being shortpacked. These were both toys which fans laughed out of the room due to lackluster paint jobs and poor sizes. As valid as those points may be, this comes to show that you never know how lucky you may be to have a toy available and you never know what can become a hot commodity in this hobby.
You can see some sold e-bay listings here and in the image below.

Now, the only deluxe left to be seen is Nightshade. Let us know what you think of Grimlock.

We have some big news for toy fans today. We have not one but two first looks at new upcoming figures, both voyagers in the Studio Series line. One is Gamer Edition Megatron, from the War for Cybertron game, and the other is Rise of the Beasts Rhinox. There are comparisons below to the other voyager Rhinox coming out as well in the mainline. They seem to be based on the same model in robot mode nut the Studio Series version has more accurate paint apps. You'll let us know what you think.

We got images of early production test shots for some Transformers figures lately and one popped up of Tarn's body with no head and a new sword, on Chinese social media. This has fueled the idea that this is Legacy Bludgeon's test shot. Now it is unclear if this is a work in progress type test shot or a pre production line one, meaning that we don't know if this represents the amount of retooling Bludgeon will have over Tarn but there is now a possibility that this indicates the retooling could be very very limited. Basically, it could be that Bludgeon is just the same mold as Tarn but with a new head and a new sword accessory.
While that is not what fans were expecting, it does explain several elements in Tarn's sculpt that are more akin to Bludgeon than Tarn like the plates on his thigs, the eye holes on the upper chest and the vent at the centre of his chest, just to name a few.
Of course, it could also mean nothing, so we'll wait for more info.

Hasbro literally flipped the script on the idea of one steps in the Transformers Rise of the Beasts line with the idea of "energon bands". It's a different type of transformation where elements of the toy become all loose and reconnect into the alt mode (and vice versa). While a new take on the fast conversion idea, it removes any articulation one steps may have had and adds the need to lock in, which young kids (those targeted with these) may find not as obvious. These have been out for a month in the US but have just shown up in Canadian Walmarts. For those curious about how exactly this gimmick works, we have video reviews for you below.
(Ages 15 years & up/Approx. Retail Price: $199.99/ Available: Fall 2023)

Coming in hot this Tuesday morning, we have some big news to share-literally! Legacy Titan Class Nemesis is finally revealed in all her purple glory. Via an article on IGN, we get several official product shots, showcasing the largest Decepticon toy and female Transformer ever produced. According to the article, she stands right around 23 1/2 inches, which puts her a couple of inches taller than Earthrise Scorponok (and his Black Zarak retool). She's shown in ship mode as well, faithfully recreating the look of the Decepticon flagship from the G1 cartoon. We even get a look at her box art, which shows her EvoFusion gimmick of having parts of her shins and ship mode wings being able to detach and form weapons for her to wield.
She is currently up for preorder at all the usual online retailers, as well as Hasbro Pulse.
What do you all think of the newest Titan? Are you making room for her in your collection? Let us know your thoughts below!

So it turns out the insect legs on Legacy Shrapnel, which can double as blasters, are not symetrical. They are instead two slightly different molds with distinct numbers molded onto them and the chance for them to be mismatched is possible since they look almost identical (just like how few people initially noticed that their POTP voyager Elita 1 feet were missassembled). The review below from Chuckdawg1999 highlights what a metched set looks like and the numbered combinations for a matched set.
chuckdawg1999 wrote:Legacy Evolution continues the updates to the Insecticons with Shrapnel. Shrapnel is a solid toy all around, with fun transformation, and a solid insect mode. I find myself enjoying the figure more than I did Kickback. If you see Shrapnel, grab one to complete your Insecticon collections.

We have news that Transformers Studio Series 86 leader class Snarl has been found at Canadian retail. Prime Sinister found him at a Gamestop in Markville, Ontario . Judging from the photos below, either there is no wavemate or this leader is shipping in solid cases in Canada.

We have images of 2 interesting generations type toys that have just been leaked onto the internet. Both these figures are either in production or undergoing review in China, which is when we get leaks like on this site. However, unlike the Prime toys we previously posted, one of these isn't as far along in production.
Below you will see images of a the Siege Megatron toy in a miner deco (like when he was chilling with his buddy Impactor in the café) as well as what is believed to be the voyager class Junkion figure we'll get in Legacy. The plastic used is test shot plastic though, so not the final colours/deco. And there's no head on either of them. Let us know if these interest you.

These figures are now undergoing review in China and that means we get to have some images leaked like on this site. Below you will see images of RED G1 Grimlock and Prime Starscream. These will be the same height as the previous RED toys and they will also be Walmart exclusives. Let us know if these interest you.

The Transformers franchise is big news this week with the reveal of Unicron in Rise of the Beasts and the announcement of the animated film's title and cast. We now have images of the presentation, posted on getty images, which show us the title card reveal and our first look at Cybertron. It is very colorful and we have outlines of the Autobots and Megatron. Elita has her very typical silhouette.
We also want to thank fellow Seibertronian Deadput was awesome to share with us these two cool gifs of Rhinox' and Cheetor's transformations. That makes up for not seeing any maximal transform in the second trailer that dropped earlier today.
