Hyped up from the earlier Hasbro brand summary? Look no further: Seibertron.com war-time journalists Seibertron and ScottyP are on the front lines to bring you our first look at the new combatants to the Combiner Wars... the Protectobots and their combined form Defensor and Leader Ultra Magnus!
First up, give it up for the Protectobots! The ranks of the Protectobots include their leader, Hot Spot, and his subordinates Blades (retool and redeco of the existing Alpha Bravo mold), First Aid (who is rather jeep-ish), Rook (who transforms into a APC-like SWAT vehicle), Streetwise (sporty-looking police car), and Groove, who is now confirmed to be Legends-sized and also pulls double duty as forming armor to Defensor ala Generations: Combiner Wars Menasor.
Fans of the IDW-verse rejoice as they gaze upon Ultra Magnus... who not only rocks an IDW-themed look, but also includes his actual self, Minimus Ambus, who is capable of fitting inside the big UM and transforming into a Cybertronian vehicle. Also worth noting, as demonstrated in the last image, his shoulder-mounted rockets and rifles are capable of combining into a giant hammer, made iconic by the Animated version of the character!
Keep your optics tuned to us here at Seibertron.com: we expect to get official images of all of these figures sometime tonight!
***UPDATE***
We also have new images of Voyager Cyclonus, who forms the torso of the gestalt called "Galvatronus" whose head is based on (you guessed it) Galvatron (no images yet... stay tuned!), and Legends Warpath and Viper, the latter of which is an homage to a GI Joe vehicle, the Cobra-affiliated Rattler.
While we have seen multiple clips and videos for the upcoming Transformers: Robots in Disguise animated series, the YouTube channel Hasbro Studios Shorts has been busy uploading a whole bunch of them - some repeating previous material, some brand new - including a new trailer and a Behind the Scenes look at the cartoon, also featuring producers Jeff Kline, Adam Beechen, VP developer Michael Vogel, art directors David Hartman, Jose Lopez, voice actors Liam O'Brien, Constance Zimmer, Ted McGinley, Peter Cullen and director Vinton Heuck! You can check them out below, and head here for a full playlist; keep your eyes peeled in the Behind the Scenes clip for a glimpse of Windblade and other character designs!
TRANSFORMERS: Robots in Disguise Special Primetime Premiere Airs Saturday, March 14 on Cartoon Network
Bumblebee Takes the Spotlight in an All-New Animated Series from Hasbro Studios
Cartoon Network will unleash TRANSFORMERS: Robots in Disguise on Saturday, March 14 at 6 p.m. (ET/PT) with a special one-hour premiere event. The latest installment in the iconic franchise features an all new animation style, and builds upon the lore of the iconic Transformers franchise filled with great humor and lots of fun adventure for fans of all ages.
The new series begins as Bumblebee must step up to be a leader in the years after we left the Autobots in Transformers Prime. Summoned by Optimus Prime to save Earth from a new Decepticon threat, Bumblebee puts his light-hearted mettle to the test after assembling a rogue team of young Autobot action heroes. Bumblebee must balance his job fighting off evil with being equal parts squad leader and coach to a rascally band that needs constant coaxing to learn how to work together. The results are comical when the cool rebel Sideswipe, elite guard cadet Strongarm, bombastic dinobot Grimlock and overly-excited mini-con Fixit must balance keeping the team together with chasing and capturing their new enemies in every episode packed full of action, fun and adventure.
Following the premiere event, new episodes can be seen every Saturday starting on March 21st at 6:30 a.m. ET/PT.

Courtesy of the DeNA Transformers Legends blog, we have information on the latest update to the mobile game device. Combiner Wars really is hitting across all Transformers media, as the new “The Key to Vector Sigma, Part 1” event features art of Menasor, Skydive and Alpha Bravo. Check it out below!
After the DECEPTICONS fail to steal the superfuel that has been given to the AUTOBOTS, their leader decides that they need their own land-based forces. After some choice thefts and modifications with Cybertronian technology, the STUNTICONS are born. But as powerful as they are, they lack the spark of life. And the only place to obtain it is Vector Sigma.
The AUTOBOTS learn of the DECEPTICONS’ plan, and realize that the newly created STUNTICONS will need to be taken to Cybertron to be given true life. In order to counter this, a group of AUTOBOTS returns to their home world to create their own sky-worthy forces.
Both groups arrive at Vector Sigma nearly simultaneously, and the AUTOBOTS and the DECEPTICONS bring life to their new allies in time for a major showdown. On one side, MOTORMASTER and the other STUNTICONS rise to life, while on the other, FIREFLIGHT, ALPHA BRAVO, and the AERIALBOTS stand tall, fighting for control of the key to Vector Sigma!
The battle starts to go badly for the DECEPTICONS, but as things look grim for them, the STUNTICONS join together to become the colossal MENASOR! With the increased firepower of their gigantic foe, the tide begins to turn against the AUTOBOTS.
Will the AERIALBOTS be able to defeat the vicious STUNTICONS? Or will MENASOR and the DECEPTICONS drive the AUTOBOTS out of Vector Sigma? Find out in TRANSFORMERS Legends - “The Key to Vector Sigma, Part 1”!

Please note that the reward card listed for the top 100 prize, MENASOR, is an Evolution card, and not a Trans-Scan card as is shown in the Join the Event screen. The top 100 prize will NOT include this version, only the Evolution version of the card. Thank you.
It was recently revealed that the Fan Built Combiner would be an autobot and now that the second round of voting is live, we have a few more results. Of the four limbs, two will be aerial vehicles and two will be cars. In this round, fans can choose whether those aerial vehicles will be a bomber (which looks like the torso piece), recon plane, or helicopter. The car choices are drag racer, sports car, or race car.
Also, fans can choose the Combiner's city of origin to be either Iacon, Kaon, or Rust Sea.
Finally, the color scheme choices have been revealed and they are: navy-blue-gold, orange-gray-blue, and teal-red-white. This last one is reminiscent of famed combiner Liokaiser's color scheme.
Swap out Takara Tomy Q-Transformers Prowl for Wheeljack alongside Optimus, Bumblebee and Lockdown, and you have the sixth episode of the DLE Channel 'Mystery of Convoy Returns' animation series! The title for this one is 'Motenai Otoko No Gyappu No Nazo', loosely translated as (potentially) 'The mystery of the gap of no attractive man' (?) - check out the embedded video below, and see what you make of it.
This seems to be the week for streaming Transformers content! What is popularly referred to as the Netflix of books, Scribd, has launched this morning their Comics section, including material from all major publishers, IDW included. To celebrate the event, the ebook subscription service are also offering a free month's subscription to their content - now's the time to catch up on all those Transformers issues you never read!
In April 2014, an online streaming service, similar to and rivalling the likes of Netflix, Amazon Prime Instant Video and Hulu Plus made its way to the surface of the tubes: Tubitv. You can read more about its launch here.
What is relevant to us today, however, is the fact that Hasbro Studios, after ending its agreement with Netflix, seems to have allowed several of its programming to be streamed via the ad-supported site! This is definitely true for Transformers Generation 1, taking the spotlight on the main Family Entertainment page, but also applies to Armada, Cybertron, Energon and Animated - will we see Transformers: Prime and Beast Hunters joining them too?
