A new year signals the end of the Transformersmas Holiday photography challenge for 2017. We received some truly great entries this year, and as a thank you for your participation, we're featuring every single one of them for all to see! Please enjoy the images below, and thank you again for sending in your photos!
We started with
Week 1: Winter Sports
and got a wide array of entries, from Ice Skating to Knitting. Take a look!
Fires_of_Inferno
Alright, spheroid projectiles ready...
Why fly, when it's snowing and you have built-in skis like Whirl does!?
Sergeant Chaos: "You giant idiot! You're a snowmobile, you're not supposed to crash! You could have snapped my neck, you goalie-looking pile of rusty metal shavings!"
Icepick: "I could STILL snap your neck if you don't shut your filthy vocal processor, fleshling!"
Snowmobiling is fun!
Christmas shopping is definitely a winter sport! I mean, if you go shopping properly instead of just buying everything online! Either way, try not to get trampled!
I'm running out of real winter sports by now. However, you know what should be considered a winter sport? EVERYTHING INVOLVING CHRISTMAS! Not only are there things I am going to be doing, there's so much I WANT to do! Festivals, sales, shopping, checking out lights, building snow people, summon Cthulhu, taking pictures, bake cookies, watch holiday movies! That's a lot for one person to do! In the end you feel like you've run a marathon, but it's all worth it, and it's all fun!

Mirage finds ice skating to be extremely easy. He doesn't understand how people think it's so hard... (It gets less complicated when you have built in skates!)

This was the most impressive and intricate entry (or series of entries) we received this year. We sung the praises of
Fire's impressive
Christmas Carol recreation, (Naming it the winner of the Holiday Movie theme) and we'll continue to sing them now:
This is by far the most amazing entry we've received this year, and probably the best we've received in the history of Transformersmas. Fires_of_inferno takes us through the trials and tribulations of Ebenezer Starscrooge, in this 7-part, 79 installment (practically shot-for-shot) remake of the classic Christmas tale. It's unbelievable, and to do it justice, we'll link to the seven parts below. Extremely good job,

And just like That, we've reached the final week of the 2017 Seibertron Transformersmas Holiday Photo Challenge! It's not over yet, though! We do have a few final days before Christmas, and that means we need a new theme! Last week we covered cooking, and got some great entries (or entrées?). Be sure to check out our favorite submissions of the past week down below!
This week, however, we turn our attention to...
Holiday Traditions!
Share what you and your family (and your Transformers) do for the holidays! Decorating a tree, hanging stockings, leaving cookies out for Santa, the possibilities are quite endless! Also, if you celebrate a different holiday other than Christmas, this is the perfect time to share your Traditions, as well! Lighting a Menorah or an Advent wreath, or spinning a dreidel. Non-Christmas winter holidays are not only allowed but encouraged!
Pick four winter holiday Traditions to share with your TFs, and post them once a day down below! You can also share your submissions on social media with #Transformersmas.
We can't wait to see what you come up with for the final theme of Transformersmas!
And now, our favorite submissions from the past week:
THE BOARDS:
CowboyNinjaD with
A New Eggnog Recipe
Fires_of_Inferno with
Winter Pun-derland
Va'al with

We have some news from the Japanese side of Transformers: The Last Knight, which saw its home release only just over a week ago in the country, and Takara Tomy's TLK toyline - with a new Cybertron Satellite promotion, according to their official
website. It comes down the following: every purchase of over 2000 Yen (approx 17 USD) from the line will give you the option of receiving a metallic file featuring Transformers The Last Knight art, namely Optimus Prime in his knightly pose and a selection of both Autobots and Decepticons featuring in the Paramount live-action movie.
We've mirrored the images of the promotion below, give them a look and let us know what you think in the Energon Pub discussion boards!

This is not the first time that some kind of fan vote, on a comics media outlet, has featured IDW Publishing's Transformers comics and their creators. Comics Alliance has done so previously, and the titles keep taking up the top positions for digital release on both iTunes and ComiXology - and it's the latter that's currently holding an online poll, over on
Twitter, for a number of their Best of 2017!
The six (six!) categories our Cybertronian friends are nominated for are Best Ongoing Comic, Comic Writer, Comic Artist, Best Colorist, Letterer, and Best Event, respectively for James Roberts, Lost Light, Sara Pitre-Durocher, Joana Lafuente, Tom B. Long, and First Strike. You can head over to the
ComiXology thread now to vote for the next two days, scope out the competition, and head back here once the results are announced.
#ComicsFriends the New Year is just around the corner & we need your help to choose the Best of 2017! Cast your votes & let us know what your faves were this year!
Don’t see your favorite listed? Just @reply to this thread & let us know!

Once again, Seibertronians, it’s time to deck the halls, trim the tree, and break out some bots! It’s officially Transformersmas! Our annual photo challenge is here again, and we're doing things a bit differently this year. Go ahead and
check out our announcement article from a couple weeks back to catch up on all the new details!
If you read that article, you know that we're now doing weekly idea prompts to make the load of 25 photos in 25 days a bit lighter! This being the first week, the theme is
Winter Sports!
Just because it’s cold doesn't mean your bots can't stay active! Take them on an adventure, whether it's skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, intertubing, or anything else you can come up with, and share the results here!
Pick seven winter-themed sports and post a photo once a day down in the comments below!
After you share your photos, check back next Friday (one week from now) where we'll have picked a couple favorites from the past week and posted them up on the front page for all to see! We'll also be announcing week 2's theme at that time, as well. And of course, you'll be featured in our Transformersmas round-up at the end of December!
Can't wait to see what you guys come up with! Get shooting, and Merry Transformersmas!

Found on the official
Weibo page for Hasbro Transformers, we have a contest for fans to coincide with the release of the third figure in the Movie Masterpiece line, MPM-5 Barricade! Our machine translation (and Mandarin, for that matter) are a bit unhelpful, but it looks like fans will have a chance to visit the Hasbro offices - location unknown, as there are no Hasbro offices as such in the Chinese region, except for Singapore and manufacturing in Shanghai and other traditional venues - and preview the MPM5 figure as it is fully revealed to the collector world. How to enter? Entrants can simply post an image on Weibo of any of their currently existing Barricade figures present in their collection by November 20th!
If you're a Weibo member, pick out your favourite law enforcing changing robot, be it from the live-action movies or elsewhere in the Transformers line of toys, and zhù nǐ hǎo yùn!
Invite a Transformers fan to participate in the [MPM05 Barricade] the world's first video review of the shooting, you will also be the world's first fans to experience this toy!
Review time: November 22, 2017 afternoon.
Location: Hasbro Office.
In addition, you can also visit Hasbro Office, and be the first to experience the new Transformers 2018 products. Starting immediately, forward and/or upload photos that comment on any Barricade in your possession, you have a chance to be the lucky fan.
The result will be announced on November 20.
---
[Note] Non-members cannot upload photos in the comments of the fans, when forwarding can be uploaded.

The holiday season is close upon us, and that means it's time again for Seibertron's yearly holiday photo challenge, Transformersmas!
Last year was the first run of this challenge, and it was a lot of fun, with some great photos coming from the community. While it was pretty successful, there was a lot of room for improvement, so we've made some changes on how we're running the festivities this year! Let's give them a quick rundown so everyone is up to speed!
First, and most importantly, at the end of the challenge we'll be throwing up a compilation of all of your holiday photos on the front page for all to see, inspired by
our regular creative roundups. This is our way of saying thank you for participating and contributing.
Secondly is the important addition of weekly photo prompts. Since it's a bit hard to come up with 25 individual photo ideas by yourself, we're going to add a prompt or theme for your photos. You by no means have to follow these prompts exactly all week long, but they're there for inspiration just in case you hit writer's...or, uh photographer's block! Here's the prompts we'll be using this year:
Starting Friday, December 1st through Thursday, December 7th: Winter Sports! Whether it's hockey, ice fishing, snowball fights, or even just snowman making, there are plenty of winter activities for your TFs to partake in! Post what you come up with through that week.
Starting Friday, December 8th through Thursday, December 14th: Holiday Movies! Everyone has a favorite holiday film, so recreate a few iconic scenes with your figures!
Starting Friday December 15th through Thursday, December 21st: Baking/Cooking! Share your robots making this year's Christmas dinner, baking that classic family recipe, or just making some Hot Cocoa on a cold day!
Starting Friday, December 22nd through Christmas Day, December 25: Holiday Traditions/Festivities! To Round out the final leg of our challenge, we'll focus on the holiday traditions we practice this time of year. If it's Hanging stockings above the fireplace, seeing Santa, lighting the Menorah, or reading "The Night Before Christmas", share your traditions with your TFs, and then share the results with us!
We'll post an update every week with the new week's theme, starting December 1st to kick things off, and we'll include some of our favorites from the previous week. (Even if your photo gets shared in the weekly posts, it will still get reposted in our final roundup)
The third and final change we're making is: Twitter! Transformersmas has taken twitter! If you share your photo on Twitter and tag Seibertron (
@seibertroncom) or use the hashtag
#transformersmas, not only will your photo be included in the final roundup and have a chance to be included in the weekly updates, but the official Seibertron account will retweet your submission to our followers over there, as well! Speaking of social media, carrying over from last year,
you can also use the hashtag #transformersmas over on Instagram as well to be featured.
It's important to note that Transformersmas is not just limited to Christmas. Any winter holiday you celebrate is not only accepted, but encouraged!
We're confident these changes will make the challenge better, and we'll see some great photos from you, Seibertronians! Happy photographing, and happy holidays from Seibertron.com!

Good news Italian and Italy based fans! If you're planning on attending the Lucca Comics & Games 2017 event this week, Hasbro, Paramount, and Transformers are setting up a social media competition for anyone with a penchant for cosplaying our favourite robots, with a Hasbro playset as the prize (probably still linked to Transformers: The Last Knight, given the marketing used in the promotion). The rules have been translated below:
Are you a Transformers fan and want to become the cosplayer of the year? Test your mettle at Lucca Comics & Games! You could win an exclusive Hasbro playset.
- Take a photo of yourself in a Transformers costume.
- Share your photo on your Facebook profile ('public' privacy setting)
- Tag the page @UniversalPicturesItalia and use the hashtag #Transformers5!
On 5th November at 11.30 am (GMT+1) the picture with most reactions (like, heart, wow, haha) will be nominated 'Cosplayer Transformers 2017' and will receive an exclusive Hasbro playset.
