I personally have no problem with that.

Do you think Don sold his soul to the devil to get such unhuman talent?

This makes me really want more Beast Wars galleries.
*hint, hint*
Even though I have most of these, I'd love to see what Seibs could do with them.

Don't get me wrong, I love it, I do (except for maybe the fur on Grimlock there). I just haven't even bought The Gathering yet, and now I'm going to have to find this one too? Does anybody know if these are sold at Barnes and Nobles?
Anyways, on to the art itself, I think it's really cool that there's so many characters that never appeared in the show. Especially since most of the coolest ones were never there. Such as Manterror, or Claw Jaw (not that he seems to be on here though). Polar Claw looks awesome. I had that toy, and I loved it. Until it broke, but it wasn't major and I still loved it. Unfortunately, I had to sell a lot of them, but I had a friend who took in the good ones for me.

As for the comic, I can't wait for it. The Gathering was setting everything up, so there was only so much that could be done with it, but several characters really stood out as enjoyable (namely Torca, in his few short scenes, as well as Snarl, B'Boom, Wolfang, Bonecrusher, Razorbeast, Spittor, Drillbit, and Magmatron to name a few). With what Simon Furman's confirmed for this series (a bunch of Japenese characters making their appearance, as well as some more G1 characters, and a certain giant planet munching menace, perhaps - taken straight from Neo, I believe), it definitely sounds to be more on the epic scale than the first.
Oh, and that artwork is awesome, too.

(This series better have a lot more Torca and Polar Claw in it.)

I hope we get some Prowl time and that he is his G1 self (as the file card said), and that the white (and black versions) are explained as a clone for use as fodder, etc...

Claw Jaw (not that he seems to be on here though).
While not on the cover, Claw Jaw most certainly is in the new Beast Wars series, since he does appear in the Gathering. Pretty much everyone who appeared in the American toyline that didnt' appear in the show, save for Magnaboss and Tripredicus, and TM2 Iguanus(he appears in regular form though) makes an appearance in The Gathering. You do have to kinda search for Scarem though, as he appears in one panel only.
And Claw Jaw is definitely one of my favorites. I hope they give more characterization to the Maxi's and Preds instead of introducing a bunch of new guys. Kudos to Furman for making Optimus Minor a major character, as his figure is underated.
If Leo Prime does come to Earth this time, I suspect a battle of leadership. Razorbeast was a surprising leader in the Gathering, but I don't think Grimlock would take orders from a small and underpowered guy like him(even if he is smart and crafty). But Torca had a hand in rounding up the Maximals, and probably led them along the way. Agh! It seems like there are four possible leaders here!
Oh yeah, and since it's technicly on subject, could the single DW Beast Wars story that appeared in the Summer Special couple years ago be considered canon in the IDW Beastverse? It fits with the established timeline, the characters fit, and there's no reason why Optimus Primal, Bonecrusher, and the wolf(name escapes me) couldn't have found a way to temporarily enter the regular timestream to save Rattrap from certain doom. They could have been on patrol or something and spotted him.

Also as a huge Beast Wars fan (who sadly didn't read the gathering all the way through yet) I just have to say that I love how the comics can and are taking advantage of all the B-characters and filler toys.
Alot of these guys rock, but sadly still, I have yet to see TerrorGator:(

I believe Jawbreaker was not in the TV series or Gathering, but was a US release toy.
TM2 Spittor wasn't in the comic, but he was in his non-TM form. Same with Cybershark.
Oddly the Mutant Razorclaw was missing from the Mutants.

It was driving me crazy trying to place him.
This picture is amazing and on my desktop(like I said I would), but thats one heck of an elaboration!

It is odd that Razorclaw was missing, but since the mutants only had a whole two pages, I'm guessing there wasn't any place to properly fit him in. I'll bet he'll be in the next one, if the mutants appear at all.
And Jawbreaker is even more of a surprise. Unless he was there but never showed up in a panel(Scarem was off-panel for most of the series too), then maybe he'll actually be integral to the story. After all, he doesn't look much like a Maximal, so maybe he'll be a Predacon defector or something? Well, maybe they forgot about him.

Not really odd. He's probably not going to be in it since Predacon Razorclaw was/is in the book, and the issue of two characters with the same name would probably be too confusing. (Of course, this despite the fact that one is one word and the other is two...)
