I just wish they would add more decepticons to the warrior class. We need more guys and gals like the queen bee, the leadership on the island, the toad guy.

But it is fake - or do you mean the whole thing isn't just a fake cockpit?

I mean that his chest is actually made of the cockpit, not a "Faux Parts" design like the Takara Slipstream, whose cockpit is fake, or the Classics Optimus mold who uses a different grill-abs design than the vehicle mode.

Am I the only one getting kind of a recent-IDW-issues vibe from him?

I think one of the writers said Starscream was killed by Predaking at the end of "Predacons Rising," with his arm showing up in Predaking's lair during the RID tie-in comics.

Then why would they bother to release a figure utilizing a brand new mold? Sure there were figures such as Velocirazor, Sawback, Beastbox, and others that were released and haven't appeared (yet) in the show but that doesn't mean he won't be in the show. Quick question though, where did you hear he was killed off? I'm curious about it. Actually, knowing Starscream, he probably escaped and his arm is the only thing Predaking and the others could get their claws on.

Eventually, I don't think they've been sighted in the US yet, but the windblade mold looks like absolute crap, I'd hold out for the TT release if I were you

Well, I can only speak from what I can see in Down_Shift's photos, but...I'm not impressed. The robot mode looks good...from the front. The overall shape, the wings and the shoulder pads are all cool but he's so damned hollow it isn't funny. The legs, the arms, the back, even the HEAD is hollowed out. Also, the headsculpt is (IMO) seriously ugly.
The jet mode looks OK from the top but holy undercarriage junk, Batman! The shoulderpads make the wings utterly useless and the hollowness continues unabated.
Also, the plastic has the "metallic swirl of doom" which at best makes him look horribly cheap and at worst is potentially a signifier of the figure crumbling to bits in a few years.

Jeez the head is hollow, this is getting a little out of hand - definitely won't pay $23 for this now

Not necessarily. Their prices for Titans Return toys were quite normal. They are just jacked up in peak seasons (which is not he case now). Last year's Clash of the TF exclusive TRU figures were even cheaper than the regular releases. Also, this was found at canadian tru.
Pretty sure she's referencing our TRU's jacking up the prices to scalper levels, don't entirely remember if rid is suffering as badly as the cw figs, which were at $23 when I was there a couple weeks ago, but I definitely won't pay $23 for any of these
You guys could just do a quick search online, America has their RID warriors at 16.99 http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.js ... age=search
Same old price.

The fact that his chest is part of the alt mode is AMAZING! It also means I was right woohoo!

While you're at it, could you remold RID/TAV Windblade into Slipstream, and then put out multiple colors of her as well?
Thanks.

Online, sure, and maybe I'll have to do that to get these, but in (my) store the CW deluxes are $23, but the site lists them as $19, so the same can, and may hold true for the rid figures
And being completely honest, $16 for the normal warrior figures is still too much for me, for what you normally get...

actually it depends on the store and the manager, i get price matching done at gamestop all the time and at TRU its up to the manager. Ive had TRU price match a few times but each time it was one of the managers who did it, tried at a different store and they said no. Its a total gamble

On the flip side, the head and guns are cast in the same blue plastic as the feet and forearms, meaning the entire headsculpt's deco is painted.Hellscream9999 wrote:Delta Magnus wrote:Hellscream9999 wrote:Delta Magnus wrote:Heh, I was going to post these pics from the thread on 4chan! Whoops!

I do love the Prime aesthetic the robots have (except the bland silver noseless faces) and the dude in my sig is my OC Deadput that I made up during when Transformers Universe was a thing also said OC is based on the purple Japanese release of Terrocon Cliffjumper since I don't think purple works for Cliff like at all.
Well it's complicated it was my fave show and I loved it watching it through until the end but it was during Predacons rising and after the show was over I realized that I was supremely disappointed I mean not even the Bay movies disappointed me as much as Prime did.
I just wish it was better

They probably wont, Takara Tomy doesn't like to use the same mold more than once if they can help it. At the very least they might do him as a magazine exclusive or something, but not likely for retail.

So not all hope is lost for a BW Scorponok deco and, hopefully, we'll be able to get a Skywarp or Thundercracker out of Starscream. Heck, since they've made new characters out of recolors we might even get a brand new seeker! Wishful thinking though...

Takara saw fit to make warp and cracker out of TFP Starscream, so it's definitely a possibility.
Plus they've done redecoes in the line referencing the characters' "origin" before. Take Drift for instance; they released his warrior toy as normal, but then later done a redeco of him in his IDW whites and reds.

Wounds he wouldn't have had treated after all the years that passed between Prime and RID? Knowing how vain Screamer is, surely he would have treated them.Zeedust wrote:Am I the only one unhappy to see Starscream again? At the very least, some Predacon wounds would have been nice.
For all we know, this new body design could be the result of his injuries, with him needing to get a new body after the Preds wrecked him in his previous one.

To be fair, the entire show is a popularity contest. The leader is Bumblebee and Prime shows up once in a while to sell more toys. Plus you have the popular Drift and Windblade characters show up to cross sell media they were hyped for and lastly you have Grimlock who is ever present. And guess who shows up to help for one episode at a time: none other than Jazz and Ratchet! But all of that is balanced with the villains who are mostly original and extremely inventive in design. So its a fun show to create the biggest amount of new characters in quite a while and hedges on some big names on the good guy side.

These 3 will probably all show up unchanged in japan at TRU like the last Clash of Transformer figures did last year. Then they could do as they wish. Last year they had their own normal Bumblebee release, plus TRU exclusive Clash Bumblebee and then a remolded Supreme Bumblebee. So the Scorponok mold has a potential of 3 releases in Japan. We already know 2, the third could be a heavier remold using the new head. Just looking at possibilities based on this line last year.
