These are from one of the cancelled-maybe-not-cancelled boxsets. That would explain the lone Titan Master, the mold re-usage, the different borders that are inconsistent with the rest of the cards -- AND the fact Hasbro kept tip-toeing around Headmaster Arcee whenever she was brought up, and hinting more towards POTP than TR. It's looking like these boxsets might be cancelled and these are just the remnants that are showing up now, scattered across the murky catacombs of the internet. Shame too, I really would have liked Arcee.

I don't think their cancelled just yet since box sets don't have to abide by the same rules as normal standard line products I think. (correct me if I'm wrong)
I think they might be saved for POTP but if I remember correctly wasn't Computron and Liokaiser released after CW was over?
They were but Liokaiser was not under the CW line, he was in the platinum line.
I dont know what you mean by them having to abide by rules or not. The fact that they dont have to abide by anything means to me that they are more likely to get cancelled since you only have to cancel orders with 1 buyer (due to them being exclusive).

See I don't think that is the case for one reason, the strength and speed sets do not come with collector's cards for each individual member. They come with one card that replicates the box art. So it wouldn't make sense for the last two to do something different.
What I think is more likely is that there never were any plans to do 4 big box sets. Everyone just got caught up in the themes of the other two and jumped to conclusions. I think the biggest indicator of that is the Walgreens exclusive clone pack. There's no way that they would have been able to scrape together a deal with Walgreens last minute, this was planned from the beginning. I believe that the Arcee and Ultra Magnus cards instead indicate smaller multi packs that have yet to be revealed.

It's not really arguing so much as it is sharing speculation and theories. As long as none of us are being rude about it or assuming to know how Hasbro works more than the other I think it's fine

Off the top of my head, and from Hasbro's side (since Takara TFs with human-sounding names are a dime a dozen)... whatever the last Hasbro toy named "Hightower" was would qualify, as that's a human surname.Kurona wrote:I get the idea they used Daniel's name backwards so as to seem more robotic and such rather than having a human name -- I don't recall the last time a Transformers toy had a human name (not counting the ones that actually are made to be human like those PVC tfp kids).

Well spotted. It looks like any differences in the mold come from artistic liberties or painting over the face.
Man, the Blurr mold's getting busy in these boxsets...

You have a Front Page !!!
(kidding)
You do say basically the same thing I just speculated that the art is from a boxed set Titanmaster (cancelled or not).
As for the art issue though - I would just remind folks that the Legends class toys have had their cards showing the vehicle modes lately - so they do seem subject to some change.
Arcee looks nice though - I like how she'd complement Nautica - I would however quite like her to have the Titanmaster Vehicle as well (even if it is just a repaint).

Yeah, I discovered that because I've seen pics of Fastlane with someone sat there and wondered if Cloudraker had it. But it's no where near as adorable as Wingspan giving one a ride. I'm guessing Pounce has one too?
Man, I really hope Pounce and Fastlane get a two pack release. These clones are so much fun.

Cloudraker and Wingspan came today. I absolutely love these little guys. The arms could do with pegging in somewhere in alt mode (I did it without instructions, maybe I'm just missing soemthing). But they have oodles of character and charm. I've been keeping an eye out for the G1 con clones for years, so I'm happy to be getting this modern version. And Pounce has a little Titan ankle slot behind his bird head so the Titan masters can ride him. And it look ssooooooooo freaking adorable. And worth noting, Cloudraker's wings don't seem to sit flush straight in jet mode, they angle downwards to form a nice triangle with the front landing skid, though that skid keeps folding away by itself. They also have a really nice box. I don't normally comment on those, but it feels really high quality.

*ahem* OK, let's see what we have here:
An Ultra Magnus Titan Master from Stylor... with Fangry/Brisko's head it seems. I didn't know Hasbro was suddenly into mixing and matching unrelated toolings. Either that, or it's an unused pretooled head, making him more like Fracas and Xort, or an artist goofup. The theory of him being a release of a box set Titan Master is plausible, except unlike Rodimus Prime and Thunderwing he has no retooled chest from what I can tell.
Another Blurr retool? She just needs the wheels I wouldn't worry too much about the shoulders, like Laser Prime's cab it's an artifact from the original figure that may not show in the final toy.
Joy! Names for the box set Titan Masters too?! Bah, and I had profiles and names made up for them. They were good too!
I will largely agree with the theory that Ultra Magnus and Arcee may be from originally planned sets, but plans changed early enough in the process (I think somewhere between final production of the toys and the printing of the boxes) for them to be "salvaged" and shuffled about. However, I wonder what fate will befall the Leaders and Voyagers. Standalone exclusive releases via the original retailers?

So yes, that means that a line where every voyager was a triplechanging headmaster did not include apeface and snap dragon as voyagers. I am speechless.

So Titans Return has ended earlier than expected? Bummer, to be fair, it was never officially confirmed it would have 6 waves worth of figures for each Size Class like Combiner Wars, was it?

They never gave us a figure count. All they said was that Power of the Prime was starting in begining 2017 which I guess meant TR ended right before.
And there will still be a wave 6 but it will all be rereleases. Like the Wave 6 of CW for Leader class.

It's because of the aircraft carrier. Flattop is a slang term for aircraft carrier.
I actually brought up a while back that Flattop would be a good repurposing of Siege on Cybertron Tidal Wave.

Ok, lets assume it is based on Blurr's TM...isn't that thing behing him Arcee's leg? What if they were part of the same set? What Ultra Magnus IS Arcee's partner?
Also...what if this is the HasCon exclusive? Maybe they won't release the other 2 boxsets at retail because they were repurposed as the convention set? Mayber one as a set and the other split into antendee's exclusives or freebie figures like it was in BotCon?

Unlikely.
Most of the speculation is based on the list of Titan Master names that's on the Trypticon cereal box. One of the names is "Leinad" which is "Daniel" spelled backwards, the one who Arcee bonded with in The Rebirth. Besides, what would Arcee be doing in that image, with Ultra Magnus separated?
There's no precedent for regular retail releases being repurposed as convention items. The reverse however has happened in the past, and only with leftover stock. Alternators Nemesis Prime comes to mind here.
Finally, we don't know the nature of Hascon's exclusives, though given the nature and size it's more than possible they'll follow the SDCC format and not the FunPub-run BotCon one.

Hey, one can hope
But they did NOT come out at retail, they haven't been announced at all(as of now, at least), besides, John Warden said that they wouldn't come out as boxsets in the way they have so far, they would come out in other forms.

I really love Titans Return and I liked Combiner wars a bit but with Power of the Primes so far being weak with being retools and reused gimmicks as well as this wave 6 business this here further cements to me that Warden and his team have very little idea on what their doing with the line with these questionable decisions.
What happens after POTP is done and over with and the Prime wars trilogy is over, is generations done with because what else can they actually do besides remake characters who don't have updates yet?
Actually if Generations was done and over with that could allow Hasbro to put effort in main lines that need it like Rid and the movies.
