More Movie Concept Art? The Soundwave Debate Continues

This is the point in which I kill myself.

This can't be real.

1) He has a visor thingy, not eyes!
2) Truck looks way too similar to Ironhide and has not been seen on set anywhere
3) To go from satellite to that truck would require him to shrink, and Bay said no one chages size

5) Ravage looks like he would make this movie rated R with blood, gore, and tons of violence and explosions, of course.

8) Must be fake, have we ever seen a concept sketch before with this perfectly neat border around it?
9) Decepticon symbol, on bottom right, has 'ears' that are different sized and the outline extends past the picture a bit.

12) He has a super pointy, Animated chin!
13) "Satelitte"
14) "TransFormersII"
15) Already confirmed that he is NOT a Truck!

It's decent fan art, but I just don't see it being genuine concept art.

This is fake. I have seen pics of Soundwave is a Hummer with a radar dish on top that looked very convincing. I think we can expect him to look something liek that. As for his robotmode, Bay should make him as close to G1 as possible.

PLEASE let that be fan art. Except Ravage. Ravage actually looks nice here, but Soundwave...

Ravage looks great, spot-on with what I imagined he would look like.

Soundwave is... well, first that pickup truck mode has got to go. We've only had one movie so far and already they're doing another big black pick-up truck. Come on, people...

His robot mode looks alright, I like those big blue things (whatever the hell they are), but I don't like those truck parts... anything that points to him actually being a truck makes me angry. I hope Orci is right and the so-called TFW TF2 Insider is lying about that truck thing. I want to see satellite Soundwave!

Oh, and also his head design is absolutely atrocious, and does not look like anything Soundwave has ever been before.

We should remember that Jazz, as another robot with a visor, only had his visor while in "battle mode" in TF1. Similarly, the faceplate on Prime was battle mode too.
It could be that Soundwave has a face, and the battle mode looks more akin to his G1 self.
In fact, this image does include Soundwave's "crown" shaped head.

I agree, I don't like the truck mode, it is faaar to similar to Ironhide and these characters need distinction to tell them apart. I like the glowing blue sections too.

They both looked terrific. That's about as good as you're going to get with a live action Soundwave and Ravage. Very nice. I HATE that Soundwave is a truck, but as a bot, that design rules.

Now thats a good movie Soundwave if ever I saw one, Hope he still has his vocoder voice though.

ravage looks great hes awsome soundwave hes not int stilight mode hes in truck mode someone screwd up on the titel in the picture i like the blue on soundwave but if they dont give soundwave that trademark faceplate that prime has i dont know how im going to feel about him.

but he does have that famout v mark on his forheasd though his head looks like crossrefrence between megatron & barricade and he kinda looks like big samurai warrior

i dissagree the whole time issen the movie i ssen jazz with his visor up once or twice but most of the time it was donw whenhe was in battle or not but i would have to watch the movie again to find out.

Soundwave's body design reminds me of Barricade's from the first movie.

If this does turn out to be true, (a very low chance, apparently) Ravage looks more like a dog than he does a cat.

My point is, Jazz was designed for his visor to be part of his battle mode; there were concepts of Jazz without his visor. This Soundwave picture is also a concept design (be it real or fake) and could be depicting Soundwave in his standard mode.

Concept designs flesh out how things work, the film doesn't have to pay any particular attention to the little details; I can't really remember Jazz visor-less either.. but there were designs for it.

This images is obviously false. You can tell right away, even with one eye closed.

Actual Movie characters won't have those big blue round glass things all over the body. Even real glass parts of the cars magically disappears from the robot mode. Let alone create additional round glass parts for the robot's aesthetics only? Not! They can only happen in a toy that won't appear in the movie.

Also, the face is anime. And the hands are too human. Bay won't allow human-like hands for the Decepticons.

Ravage design is taken from Alien movie. Maybe he's even gearing up to duke it out with Predator.

It's fan-made I think. Ravage looks too bulky and seems to be having 1 eye (cyclops), and Soundwave's design is not Bay-like and the head looks too much like Barricade's.

I actually think it is pretty cool. However, I doubt it's real ROTF fare.

1. As mentioned earlier, his hands are too bulky and human like. They really can't be explained away in the transformation like virtually all the others.
2. DIdn't we see a leaked video of a Frenzy-like puppet being filmed that had "dreadlocks" and was very bestial? I though that was going to be Ravage.
3. The writers debunked the "truck theory"....allegedly, anyways.

And to those who say he needs to look "more G1"...ummm...no he doesn't. We're in the minority here folks...mebbe 5-6 thousand rabid fans in a global population of 6.5 billion. I'm sure the movie would make money even if we all boycotted it because he's trukk not tapedeck or whatever. $50,000 dollars is a drop in the bucket compared to the $700 million the first movie made. They are using their imaginations rather than sticking to outdated ideas of what the bots should look like. So eyes, visor, satellite, tapedeck, pickup, whatever...we need to accept him however he turns out and be grateful that they even chose to listen to some of our ideas rather than just ignore us. The webcast with the characters last year? They didn't need to do that. They don't have to keep telling us the little things they do and answering dozens of questions from the fanboys who are mad because Optimus wasn't a short-nosed semi like in their childhood. But they do...and I for one am grateful for that. It's life people...deal with it as best you can.

Yeah i have to agree that doesn't look much like a 'Bayformer'. Plus if Ravage looks like that in the movie, i'll be waiting and watching for a Sigorney Weaver cameo and someone to say "You are one ugly mother-" haha.

I think it's real. I think i can recognize the drawings of the artists that made the first sketches for TF1.

If that's soundwave, it's awesome. I love those big lit-up discs. If only the toy could come with blue leds, it would be fantastic. I can imagine him performing a sonic attack with those speakers-wheels-whatever. That would be great. Of course that we will see him repainted in G1 colors at some point.

And Ravage, he's clearly Ravage. It even has the twin cannons at the hips. I guess it will work better on the silverscreen, but it's alien enough to look new, and G1 enough to be recognizable.

Gentlemen, i think we are beholding the real Soundwave. It's time now for us to relax and enjoy. These are the next season toys. Make some space on your shelves for them. I will.

looks quite good i can actually see something like this making the film but its definately not real maybe a concept??
i have a few things i disagree with
1.ravage looks too mean dont get me wrong he looks awesome but i think he'd have two eyes or four knowing bay
2.soundwave looks squashed together if he wanted to fit in with the other bots,
3.soundwave would have a faceplate i reckon.

If this is fan made then its a really bad joke and im sure no one is laughing. And if it is real then ive lost all hope for the movie franchise.

Wow...ok, that Ravage is basically a metalic version of a creature concept I drew for a sci-fi horror story I did in a writing class I took about 10 years ago. Kinda creepy since I never showed anyone that artwork. Weird...

In my opinion, Bay would see the "Robots with other, smaller robots inside them" as having been done already and move on to another transformers gimmick. Like Combiners or triple changers.

Soundwave has been confirmed by the writers to be in it. And not as Frenzy 2.0

I have no idea if this is legit or now, but I think the real movie produciton team could spell "Satelitte" correctly. It's Satellite!

Ravage looks too bulky, like the motor of a car with legs added on it. Soundwave.... well... he looks cool but I can't see that robot in Bays film.

I was about to rub the dogs nose in something until I realized it was B.S. I was smelling. Honest mistake I guess. The blatantly fan-made art does look cool as a stand alone work, but as far as being associated with the movie it totally does not fly as several others have pointed out. I do like the extra touch with the Protoforms leaving the satellite and heading towards Earth but it is too soon in the production for such scenes to have been generated and "leaked" so it is very obviously fake. Still nice work but anyone trying to pass off such stuff and fool the rest of his/her fellow TF fans should have his/her ass beat. We have enough crap to sort through without some witless butt-monkey trying to make a name for themselves and make the disinformation problem that much worse.
It's a poor use of time and talent in my opinion.

Ok, i have one thing to say about both of these bots.

Soundwave: I truly belive i would like this design, if it wasn't for those blue orb-things. To me, they make it look like a thing Bay would NEVER let into this movie, and makes me think of..... a fishbowl.

Ravage: I swear I've saw this before, but i can't place where exactly, but I didn't like it back then either. looks too broken up, even more so than the other movie bots. (not that that is a bad thing, just it's too much so on this guy )

Or in other words, iI will go insane if this in in the movie.
