Following their reveal at SDCC we've got some brand new pictures, and eBay listings of Studio Series Dropkick and KSI Sentry!
Dropkick is from the forthcoming Bumblebee movie and is one of two main Decepticons in the film, and while in it he's a triple changer, going from a helicopter to a muscle car, here he's just a helicopter.
KSI Sentry is supposed to represent a generic KSI made transformer featured in the Age of Extinction. While there is no direct match in the movie, this is a redeco of Stinger, the red Bumblebee-like bot from the same film.
The eBay user who has listed both of these seems to have a limited quantity available but they should be hitting retail soon enough.

Yeeeah about £10 more than the shop price will be but I didn't get any Transformers for my birthday last Sunday and still waiting for my Ironhide pre-order from Kapow (whenever that officially comes out) so screw it. There ain't a whole lot other toys (or anything at all) catching my interest at moment anyways. I paid £30 for (sorta) early Lockdown and Jazz and was very happy with those. The others in this wave I'll wait til they in stores or discounted or whatevers.

And like all Studio Series, it's licensed. Helicopter Mode Dropkick is a Bell AH-1 SuperCobra.

Just curious, how do we know that? Is it the headsculpt? And how do we know their name?

Incorrect, I saw the latter half of the movie again on tv a bit ago and all the Traxes were red, black, silver, and white, not a single blue Trax to be found. I commented on it already in this thread.
Dropkick looks great though, and I need him if for no other reason than his Jolly Roger decals.

Yes, it's the head sculpt, though that's the only thing the two have in common.
But the name is unofficial, fans just attached the name to the character because of his/its alt mode and an interview that referred to the KSI Sentries as "Traxes" (which is the model of the car).

My mistake, I could have sworn that there was at least one blue one in the scene with numerous trax’s in vehicle mode “ready for KSI to ship.” That blue looks like the blue they use on the real trac so meh
But yeah, IMO their bodies are preeeeeeety close to stinger’s body type so I see why Hasbro did it, but I would have loved a little Chevy trax to go with my Aveo Swerve. Oh well, more Paginis!

The Twins. 'Nuff said. *hides*
Studio Series being "nothing but the cast" pretty much went out the window with Thundercracker. "Cast and extras, the latter in any color" would be more apt.

Yeah but they’re a preproduction Trax and Spark plus I was so put off by their robot designs I kinda ignored them when they were on the pegs. (Didn’t have a lot of cash for toys when ROTF was around either)
As a car guy I really wish for an alternators revivals with modern engineering. Human Alliance was great.

You forgot the Beat And me thinks they're following a "one robot form per model" to cut re-engineering costs. Can anyone put a Stinger in a Trax body effectively?

Is that also a witty pun to in reference to a famous chevolet alt mode sporting TF character? That ends up giving being a fun coincidence that this traxes is blue

He's actually been up for a bit, but curiously Jazz has been absent. Weird when they are casemates.
Jazz, Megs, and Brawl are the last SS figures for me till VW Bee in wave 3 and then Dropkick and tattooed Screamer in wave 4. And I am content with waiting and finding them, trying to space out TF purchases and I like finding them in stores more.
Dropkick does look fun though, I like the movie original characters/names, even if there are other figures sharing the name but there are like 2 or 3 of them.
Also still waiting on a Bonecrusher, really want that guy.

At least TFWiki is trying to say the original Dropkick figure from the first movie is the same character as the Dropkick from the Bee movie. We'll have to see if that thread still works out by the end of the movie. They do have some slight similarities in their head designs.

Blackout - Both modes are great, though while the transformation isn't that complex, the worst bit is all the little panels that refuse to clip together. It reminds me of Revenge of the Fallen Leader Jetfire in that regard.
Megatron - Not too shabby, I like it a lot more than the Last Knight Voyager. The grey parts on the back of his shins have a tendency to pop off while I'm handling him, but otherwise it's a good solid figure.
Ironhide - Easily the best Voyager Movie Ironhide yet, he's fantastic! The only issue I have is he doesn't scale very well with the other Studio Series Autobots in either mode, particularly Optimus and Ratchet. That's not a fault of the figure's per se, it just makes me wish Ratchet was a Voyager and Optimus was a little bit larger.
Jazz - I can totally see why people are unhappy with Jazz's size, but I think he looks just fine and is a massive improvement over the 2007 Deluxe. The car doors don't stay clipped together in on my Jazz though, but I'm not sure if that's just me doing something wrong.
Lockdown - Nothing really special about this figure, he's not incredible, but he's not bad either. Much, much better than the Age of Extinction Deluxe.

Look on the underside of his car roof. You will see a peg. This plugs into a port on the back of his, well, his butt. It doesn't perfectly line up during transformation and needs a little force to work right. It should solve your issue.

You need to make sure that the car canopy is tabbed into the back of his pelvis section in the "display stand" hole. If you do that then his car mode should almost flawlessly fit together. (Mine sure does.)

Damn you Ironhidensh for beating me to it. Stealing my glory!
Also as a general rule for me, if something won't fit together, that means I most likely didn't compact something properly in a previous step. I figured this out within 15 minutes of opening him at night when I was in a rush.
Also as an extra thing, this guy SURE IS tiny! But damn, he's also gorgeous!

Yeah it's neat. Not sure if the car pieces stay on for transformation though. The front bit (i dunno what you call it, i don't have a car) probably doesn't split for his chest. But yeah it's an interesting concept. Wonder if they could make a modern Camaro Bee figure that just includes all alternate parts to change his camaro form (and the robot parts it affects) throughout the first three movies and The Last Knight (obviously his AoE forms were far too different to work with that idea) so you could have just the one figure to represent all the Camaro updates.
Posted by ZeroWolf on August 22nd, 2018 @ 5:04am CDT
Included in the box is the 1977 Camaro Bumblebee toy but with some extra tooling allowing for parts to be swapped out to change the look of the alt mode! It's unclear at this point if any of the pieces can be used for robot mode but it's a nice addition and extra incentive for those that purchased the original 1977 Camaro toy. The Charlie toy itself is an unarticulated statue.

Wonder what the price will be? I assume a lil more than regular Deluxe release but hopefully not Voyager price. I was very unsure about getting this one as I already have the first figure and wasn't keen on buying it all over again just to get the Charlie figurine (which I would like cos I do like having human figures with my Transformers) but now that we see the Bee toy itself has some interesting extra play value options I'm much more tempted.

No problem will I'm sorry I missed out the bit about target having it as an exclusive!
I'm tempted by this and in the past Tesco were able to distribute Target stuff so I'll remain on the lookout. Otherwise I'll have to see if places like kapow get it.

Just noticed the feet are unpainted. Guess some of the paint budget went into the accessories. That's fine. Can easily add silver paint there if I want to like I've done on many movie Bee figures. And yeah I don't think any of the parts stay on in robot mode (most of them go across parts that have to be seperated). Still, it looks like a fun toy and plenty stickers to play with too. Oddly it appears to have yellow paint on the hands whereas the original release does not (but I may add now with same yellow paint I added to the shoulders of mine)
Posted by ZeroWolf on August 22nd, 2018 @ 1:51pm CDT
The pictures give us a better look at the car modification parts and what they look like in vehicle mode. We also get a look at the backdrop the set offers for display. We also get a better look at the Charlie figurine who is sporting a Bumblebee logo t-shirt. The photos also reveal an abundance of stickers, allowing you to further customise Bumblebee to your liking.
Carnivius_Prime has also shared their observation that this version of the mold has unpainted feet compared to his first release yet now has yellow paint on the back of his hands.
So far this toy has been found at Target in California, but as they are getting many exclusives for the Bumblebee movie this could be one of them.
