I have no clue what prehistoric creature Steelbane's supposed to be, but he's pretty damn awesome.

That Drift picture is just pffffffftttthahahahahahAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHA oh god Hasbro what were you thinking? That unpainted torso and that hilariously mistransformed backpack. Car mode looks good though.
Bumblebee looks...OK. The car mode is neat but those unpainted details are triggering my 'tism something fierce.
Crosshairs looks like the old deluxe with even less paint. Nope.
Strafe looks OK I guess. Meh.
Leader Megatron looks awesome aaaand hold up WHY ARE HIS FOREARMS SO HOLLOW ON THEIR FRONTS OH GOD TOY RUINED
Hound looks decent. Unpainted but decent.
Voyager megatron looks great. No complaints there.
Scorn...SCORN. Definite want.
Slug...oh boy, what did they do to him? The purple looked better than that.
Sqweeks is legit adorable. I want a million.
Steelbane looks...eh. Robot mode is cool, dragon mode less so.
Grimlock's colours are cool but the mold is a bit "meh". Pass.

... except for that Leader Megatron, holy hell! That jet mode! Those flame jets! That sword! That robot mode! Those colors! I don't even like this whole Knight thing and I'm impressed.
(OK, so Scorn and Voyager Megs are also nice, and Sqweeks there is doing something interesting, but man that Leader Megatron stole the entire show)

Drift is not unpainted that is what he is supposed to look like for some reason every official pic of his robot mode such as box art and this announcement picture has him have a fully red robot mode despite turning into a black car.

There are no toys of those guys at toyfair everything here is all we are getting so no Hotrod, Cogman or Onslaught yet.

There's supposed to be black detailing in the recesses of the torso. I get they can't paint every panel line but come on Hasbro.

Definite Buys
Both Megatrons look amazing. I love them both and all the knight look they have.
Hound looks really good, and seems a bit more movie accurate.
Scorn, oh Scorn, I love so much you spiky pile of pure Dino-knight awesome.
Deluxe bee (seen here) and MP Bee are both fantastic to me. Will buy. Love the looks, kinda bummed there's no hammer though.
Barricade and Beserker join the list of the ones we've seen so far.
Sqweeks is too cute to not buy. Love him.
Maybes
Voyager prime, simply because he looks much better than the leader.
Drift because it looks different. But I am pretty confident he is the AoE toy with a fake car front, and the car shell is now facing the other direction.
Crosshairs due to new paint job. i'm thinking he is the AoE toy though.
Hard No
All the other dinobots. Nope, already have them in the better color scheme.
Steelbane. just not bothered by him.
AoE repaints beyond those mentioned.

Also none of Planet Cybertron(playset + dlx) & RC Earth that was on the toylist a while back, nor even a Quintessa figure
btw why does Drift turn into KnockOut in vehicle mode

Bloody hell, those legions.
Barricade is a repainted Prime Beast Hunters Smokescreen, and some of those look a bit comical.

Completely agree on all points. Does he also appear to have goat-like horns on his head?! I generally don't like the movie designs, and I find the resulting figures vomit-inducing. But this version of Megatron; holy Hannah!!
If the final figure turns out well, this will be the first movie figure I'll have bought since RoTF Bludgeon. For what purpose, I don't know and I don't care. That's how much I like this design.
I'm liking Steelbane as well. He's got the added benefit of making me look more favourably at Strafe. As Dinobots they're horrid, but I may pick them up and add them to my Beast Hunters Predacon collection.

I think you're right about it being the same figure as AoE, only with a new fake chest, maybe a new head, and an all new car shell.
Guess Mercedes offered more to have their car in the movie than VW did for the Veyron.

I'm still on the fence about voyager Prime. I may get him, but I haven't decided.
I will get both Megatrons though. I love that design, and I will gladly take 2. Plus, I have 3 leader Primes and an ultimate class Prime from the movies, but no leader class Decepticon. So he will be my first and it is appropriate for him to be. Movie 1 voyager Megatron was my first Transformer ever

I'm more concerned about where I'm going to put them. Like, depends what happens when i graduate, but wherever I end up going will need some shelf space so that way I can get these guys and display them. I really don't want to put any away in storage

Well, Spinosaurus is thought to be the biggest land predator EVER, and that Deluxe Scorn was rather off-model. Other Dinobots don't really need to be "fixed" like that.
Of course, maybe he gets a bigger part this film, who knows?

But is there a pic of his robot mode?

Drift because it looks different. But I am pretty confident he is the AoE toy with a fake car front, and the car shell is now facing the other direction.
Yeah, its the same toy with a new chest in robot mode:
I might get him if he goes on sale. Realy iffy on that premier dragon buy (Stealbane). The robot mode is amazing but I really hate that dragon mode.
D-Maximus_Prime wrote:Barricade is a repainted Prime Beast Hunters Smokescreen, and some of those look a bit comical.
The worse to me is how Hasbro is still trying to sell that Rippersnapper mold as Grimlock. It looks nothing like a T Rex Hasbro!
Cobotron wrote:WOW! Guys. Believe it or not, some of these movie toys have my interest.
Especially Megatron and that dragon dude. Dragon dude's knightbot mode is zuper kewl.

You gotta get yourself an ROTF Mindwipe then, an amazing toy regardless of the source.

Deluxe Class:
1. Bumblebee (I'm talking about the new Camaro mode one) - I should have known would create a new one based on his new look. Both his robot mode & Camaro mode look awesome! Even they used quite a lot of paint apps for him, which is good! For his robot mode, I think that he's a remold of DOTM Deluxe Class Nitro Bumblebee, or he's an entirely new mold...
2. Drift - He's basically a retool of the AOE Deluxe Class version, with a Mercedes chest piece (obviously a fake one), new head & a Mercedes-AMG GTR mode. His robot mode looks exactly like his concept art & CGI form, but honestly he has too much red for my taste. For his Mercedes mode, he looks gorgeous, even he has a lot of detailed paint apps on him! & for his transformation, I believe the back of the Mercedes becomes the upper part of his body while the front becomes the legs, not quite of a screen-accurate transformation...
3. Crosshairs - Nothing to say about him. He still has the cheap looking robot mode. But managed to redesign his Corvette mode to look exactly like his real-life counterpart (with new spoiler), if you guys did notice that. (If u guys don't believe me, check out his Corvette mode of his AOE Deluxe Class version.) This time, his Corvette mode is loaded with lots of intricate-looking paint apps. So, great Corvette mode but cheap robot mode.
4. Sqweeks - He looks ok to me. I didn't expect his Vespa scooter mode to have a trailer-like thing at the back which transforms into a repair bay. For his robot mode, he's so small & so cute at the same time like you can pick him up & play like he's a little baby.
5. Steelbane - An entirely new character (which I don't know whether he'll appear in the movie or not). His alternate mode is (I can't tell) either a dinosaur mode or a dragon mode. For his robot mode, he looks like a medieval knight (even the design reminds me a lot of Cybertron Vector Prime) which looks great! Since he's maybe one of the legendary Knights of Cybertron, who knows whether he'll play an important role or not in the movie, but we'll find out in a few months' time.
6. Dinobots (Strafe, Slug & Slash) - They're basically repaints of their AOE versions to make them look more screen-accurate. Nothing more to say...
Voyager Class:
1. Megatron - Both his robot mode & fighter jet mode look awesome. Even the paint apps did mix very well. Only thing about his robot mode is his legs are too small short for my taste.
2. Hound - An entirely new mold, which I think his robot mode is the most screen-accurate mold compared to his AOE version. For his Mercedes military truck mode, he looks good. did put quite a number of paint apps on him too.
3. Scorn - An entirely new mold, which his robot mode & dinosaur mode look very large & intimidating at the same time! For his paint apps, they used again his paint deco from his AOE Deluxe version.
4. Grimlock - Nothing to say about him. Similar to the Deluxe Dinobots, he's merely a repaint of his AOE Voyager version to make him look more screen-accurate.
Leader Class
1. Megatron - This is so far the best looking Megatron IMHO, even this is a lot better compared to his original 2007 version! <3 <3 <3 I <3 the way his head was designed (mostly his obvious G1 helmet look with a bit of Ultron's from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, & his face still looks like his 2007 self with that sharp teeth & purely evil look) I wonder whether the panels beside his head can cover up his mouth like in the movie & concept art, because they haven't shown that Overall, his robot mode looks absolutely gorgeous: mighty & menacing at the same time! For his fighter jet mode, this doesn't look Cybertronian at all, he looks more of a futuristic Earth jet to me (or maybe a bit of both). And again, the paint apps look very spectacular like he's made of gun metal, along with the gold, silver bronze detailing! Even he has Cybertronian hieroglyphics on his jet mode. He may not be packed with electronics, but what's cool is (as shown in the galleries) he has a few gimmicks.:
a) He comes with two flame projectiles which we can attach to his jet thrusters, making him look like he's flying.
b) The nosecone of his fighter jet can be split open to reveal his fusion cannon which also serves as a flamethrower, where either one of the flame projectiles can be attached to it (I believe the projectiles can be fired )! BTW, the fusion cannon obviously works well on both modes, especially his robot mode to make him look more like his G1 counterpart. Cool!
c) The cockpit of his fighter jet can be opened too, which is great!
BTW, his battle axe can be stored on top of his jet, which is ok, that doesn't bother me too much.
Overall, really did nail it this time in designing & painting most of TLK Premier Edition toys, which I can say it's quite a vast improvement compared to Age of Extinction toys. & the package art & promo materials look very cool too: they have the movie-like aesthetic unlike the AOE ones which the packaging looks quite simple & cheap. I really, really like what I see today & I'm glad that did take notice of the cheap quality of AOE toys & made them better. The only thing is, I don't know how the movie's gonna turn out... But, we'll see about that eventually.

The Sqweek toy looks surprisingly fun. Love that he comes with a lil trailer bay like a very small scale Optimus Prime.

This next video shows the newly revealed Premier Edition portion of the upcoming live-action movie from Paramount and Michael Bay, but also the Tiny Turbo Changers, the various deluxes, voyagers and leaders, as shown in the gallery here, here and here - that includes the two new Megatrons, Dragonstorm, Steelblade, Scorn and more!

Definitely getting:
•Leader Megatron because he is beautiful
•Steelbane mostly for the awesome robot mode
• SCORN
•And I'll pick up the repainted dinobots because I actually like the color schemes.
Maybe:
•Hound. I was really disappointed with the last one so I'm hoping this one is better.
•Squeaks it's adorable but I'm not sure I need it
•Barricade
Everything else is an easy pass for me. as if there's even that much left to pass on that's not on this list...

the proper new deluxe Bumblebee cos it's gorgeous.
Megatron (as much as I like the Leader figure it's too big for my scale collecting and thankfully he comes in two sizes this year so the Voyager may suit me just fine)
Optimus Prime voyager cos is lovely.
Barricade. I prefer his old design in many ways but this one looks cool too.
Berserker cos Barry needs a buddy and I like the Predator look.
Maybe:
Drift. I not keen on his new chest design and I'm quite happy with the AoE Deluxe toy I only just got recently. The red and black looks cool though.
Sqweeks cos I gone and warmed to his quirky design and the toy looks fun.
Grimlock. Superior colour scheme but I have the previous version.
Scorn. Looks kinda painful to pick up though like a hedgehog or something with all those spikes.
Crosshairs cos I miss my AoE one I regretfully sold when cutting down collection. I have the Hot Shot redeco but he doesn't really fit the team so I may get Crossy back again
Slug. Had the previous one and I liked the figure if not the deco so this one looks better.
Unlikely:
Steelbane. His core robot mode is kinda nice. Just abit too 'wingy' in both forms though.
Cheapass AoE repaint Bee.
Hound I far prefer his AoE toy
Strafe. Had the previous version and it was just too 'messy' for me with the wings and tails and such.
Did I miss any? Not sign of Hot Rod yet?

...that leader Megs will be MINE. Then...uh...maybe Scorn? He looks cool. The pics make him look enormous for some reason, even though he's just a voyager. Might get MP Bee, too, but probably not.
