Ah well, it was a pretty decent design anyway even if I don't like the bayformer aesthetic. If ain't broke...

Eh, there's a change or two. Aside from likely extremely subtle changes in surface detail, he seems to have lights and stuff inside his trenchcoart, and he now has a moustache that I don't really remember him having, or at least the appearance of one via clever shading (along with his face being made a little more visually appealing on the whole).

I tend to ignore the faces, they keep me up at night
That makes sense. But yeah, as you said; very subtle - not really noticeable. Wonder if he has a different alt mode.

Judging from the pictures we've got, it's probably the same as before.

Your still stuck get action one cartoon those bots had to much human look in there faces to smooth not enough sharp edges plus teeth didn't help much how many Aline movies have you saw that aliens have humanoid faces unless there trying to blend in robots in disguise alien from another transform into earth vehicles that's disguise but robots from another planet in robot mode that have human faces not much of disguise either you look at them there still alien menacing robots from another planet.,
Think people will befriend deception if they had humanoid face won't matter anything that is bigger than human that kill them with one step they will be afraid human face or no face what does it matter if alien robot have human faces this new type of transformers didn't hear no complaints about beast machines and beast wars silver lot with cat bot like face not humanoid, tidal wave, predacons, transformers robots in disguise all deceptions have animal and insect faces no complaints there new series new look robots are made to look realistic not human cartoon looking giant bots big boring and blocky whit alien robots look like who skinned human faces off and wear them as masks to look more friendly because of there size

Crosshairs is the only returning AOE Autobot in this film besides Optimus to have the same vehicle mode as last time the only things new is a new paint pattern on his sides, a new spoiler and some vents on his hood.
No drastic changes like Bee, Drift and Hound.

He always had the face stuff just hard to see due to lighting but otherwise his face is exactly the same as before he does have new googles though.

Squeeks is an actual character too just because you don't like him doesn't mean he is any less of a character then say Bee or Ratchet.
And this is why new things like Alpha Bravo because some adults who were kids 30-20 years ago want exactly the same thing as how they felt as a kid.
When I was a kid and probably same with all of us we did not watch Transformers as kids because we wanted amazing stories or characters we wanted to watch robots shoot, fight and Transform and don't lie kids don't really care for those things until they start to become teenagers.
Squeeks is something kids like and Bumblebee can't be the kids idol forever they need other characters too like Smokescreen from Prime and Sideswipe from the new RID.

I understand where he is coming from, to me Squeeks just seems like another wasted "gimmick" character. And of course we watched Transformers when we were kids because they shot at each other and fought, not the stories so much. Thats why most of us are here, I was 6 in 1984 and fell in love with Sunbow G1 Transformers.

I know I understand why he does not like it i initially did not like BB-8 from the new Star Wars film during the trailers but then I realized that he was not made to impress older folk like me but as a marketing tool for the kids instead of just reusing R2-D2 for the millionth time same thing here Bumblebee is a great kid friendly character but he also isn't exactly an adorable mascot marketing type character he is just the cool factor marketing character.
Bumblebee is for the kids who want to see a bad ass while being a familiar character to the older fans
Squeeks is for the kids who want to see something adorable and a great source for soft plushies and is made for the younger/newer fans.

Wonder what his new toy will be like, perhaps similar to the fun AoE toy but just improved?
(I kinda like Sqweeks... he reminds me of the kid who played Tiny Tim in the local production of 'A Christmas Carol' I did last year, I was the happy new nephew Fred and also the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come... cool skull mask! As the ghost I mean, not as Fred. )

Cute mascot character for the kids to adore over!
My little sister (who is 9 and has watched the Transformers movies in the past with me I mute the inappropriate language even though she knows about it and knows not to say bad words) already loves Squeeks and likes his name although she is confused about the whole peg leg thing and she asked me why he only has one wheel since at first she thought it was Fixit from the Rid cartoon my sis thought Transformers Prime was boring and usually would not want to watch it with me which is a part of why I don't like that show but she loves RID for being an actual kids show.

Or, for a more recent and relevant-to-the-movies example...
What about this leader-class toy who wears almost his entire alt mode on his back?
edit: also, this
Still, it's not as if all the movie toys are getting bad because of it. There was an evolution 2-pack for sale at the UK TRU which gave me Evasion Optimus and Classics Optimus for 20 quid; and while I bought it purely because I wanted a Classics Optimus, the Evasion one turned out to a very solid voyager toy with a clever transformation - albeit with some irritating panelling and fiddling.

Love that cute old penguin gun...truly madly deeply
Have NO movie 4 toys but played with several. The Milk-Magazine Battle Damaged Evasion Prime is a very impressive movie 4 toy.

Have 4 or 5 09 movie Primes at home and still love the old fashion of transforming.
The character designs since movie 4 killed both the toys and the designers ...
Hope Shogo Hasui can bring some new ideas to the movie 5 toys.

I still like mine a lot. Currently my fave Optimus toy ever. Poses well, looks great in both modes, doesn't take tooo long to transform but is complex enough to be interesting and still just love the whole gimmick of agile, athletic looking movie Prime being able to turn into blocky G1 cab more convincingly than a lot of G1 Prime figures do.

You pose it great. Custom painted?
My all time fave movie Prime toy is this APS01U. Mine is not fully armed due to the space limit...

The movie 4 leader class Prime is a simpler wrapper... And the upcoming movie 5 knight ...

Yeah bit of paint here and there (I'm no professional as you can see but I did enough to make it look a bit more like CGI model) and Reprolabels stickers for the flames. The standard Hasbro version just looked a bit too much like a poor quality knock off of itself in it's plastic and colour scheme. Much happier with it since I customed it.

Yeah I used to have RotF Leader Buster Prime but had to sell cos needed moneys and he towered over most my other figures a bit. Really cool toy though.

heh. I'm really looking forward to them cos movie toys tend to be my fave (I like some Gens & Titans for updates of fave old characters but I got back into Transformers cos the movie stuff is what I had wanted since I was a kid and would often redesign characters in the back of my schoolbooks as to how they might actually function & transform in real life). I'm keen to see what they do with Prime. I really liked the Armor Knight leader toy but I loved the difference between the 2007 and 2009 Leader Class Primes despite them being based on the same design they turned out far more differently, like Hastak had a much better understanding of how to compress all those rectanguler truck parts into movie Prime's much more streamlined self. The 2007 toy is still fun in it's own right though as a Transformers figure but for accuracy they really knocked it out of the park with the 2009 RotF toy so maybe they'll do it again with his knight form?

As I look back to the character designs of RotF Prime, I could say that the chest could come from the truck's front window. And that's how the 2009 Leader Class transforms.
Source: unknown
But the movie 4 prime, the designer should have kill Bay for the human like body of prime
Source: unknown
And in the last knight poster, we could see a human like body again... So don't know what designers could do than a wrapper again....

It's still very possible to get a good transformation out of a human-like body without resorting to shellforming. Also, you don't have to try and put a source for images on message board posts

Do you need to see an optometrist for your eyes?

Actually he is a good figure. Especially if you fiddle with him a bit in robot mode, you can eliminate his butt kibble and his munky arms. All of the AOE Dinobots are pretty dang decent in fact, with the only crappy ones being Snarl and Slash (Though I can't entirely speak for the former, as I've never owned him.)

Oh cool; glad to know. The AOE dinobots are strangely appealing to me; maybe it's because since they don't have faces and instead have visors and faceplates they look more like what fits my vision of what a Transformer looks like. And the whole brutal sharp design theme of bayformers seems to actually work for them.

I'm going for all of them ideally
