What's interesting about the listings is the use of Starscream's actual name for his listing, but the other listing is for a character named, or codenamed, Radar, suggesting some of the figures may be using codenames, just like in the recent The Last Knight toyline. Who "Radar" refers to is unknown at this time, but we are hoping the official reveals are just around the corner!

I think Caesium might be onto something, since I just thought that the rear wheels might take some engineering cues from M-01 Commander, where the "middle" tires can be relocated to the hips, creating that double tire look that Movie Prime has.JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:Caesium Salami wrote:Someone on another forum pointed out that Prime seems to be a heavy retool of TF4 Evasion Mode Optimus.
To name a few similarities:
- The shoulders and upper arms being one solid piece
- The chest panels appear to fold in from the sides
- The front wheels of the truck are on the hips
This is purely conjecture, but it's an interesting theory nonetheless.
Also, to those worried about the proportions, most of the figures (particularly Crowbar) look pretty egregiously mistransformed. Crowbar's legs, for example, should be in a digitigrade stance like Berserker.
People shout retool too quickly whenever they see design points in common. As far as we know, Crowbar is the only one, the rest are all new molds.

Crowbar looks like a good retool. I loved the designs of the Dreads and Wreckers. Now we just need Leadfoot and Hatchet in deluxe scale!

Spider5800 wrote:"Radar" is almost certainly Optimus, it's listed as a voyager and he was the other wave 1 voyager in the original leak. Plus, I doubt they'd launch this line without an OP available right from the start like every other movie line.
Agreed, though I sure would like to think this is a secret figure for the Bumblebee movie.

Looks like the chest should be on some hinges. I do wonder if the middle set of tires would go onto his hips.

The packaging also gives us some new info. Firstly, we see the generations logo. This may not mean that they are part of the "Generations" line per se, but more of an indicator as to the type of toy it is. That was previously done for the Age of Extinction film, where the toys were labelled as being "Generations" as well. While it might be confusing, it seems Hasbro deems it less confusing than their latest try at differentiating these toys with one steps and the like with their "Premier Edition" branding, which did indeed infer a comparison. So now it's back to "Generations" to let you now you can expect the same type of complexity.
The other bit of interest comes from the Takara logo on the box. This further solidifies the idea that, as with The Last Knight toyline, the Takara and Hasbro products will be identical for the most part, including the packaging (which Takara would then add a sticker to). This was originally hinted at by the lower Japanese prices we saw for this line compared to other Takara Transformers products. The prices for this line in Japan was the same for the Transformers: The Last Knight Toyline.
So seeing this trend of Takara and Hasbro releasing the very same products in both their markets, how do you feel? Does this further contribute to the notion that both companies truly feel the extra sales from collectors importing (either Japanese fans importing Hasbro or westerners importing Takara) toys from outside their market are not substantial compared to the savings of standardized toys and packaging? Or do both companies simply focus on their own markets without giving a thought to any activity happening outside it, be it beneficial or not?

Deluxe Leadfoot already exists. I paid up the ass to get the original, but it appears they now have a quality KO that does the deed. It has the Target paint apps of the unreleased Hasbro version and the head painted silver which looks way better than the original (unpainted) which goes for over $300 now.

Im with you on Hatchet. Ive been using the small version as a stand in with berserker as Crowbar to have the trio.

That's what I'm referring to; the hand is just touching the phone (where the screenshot is placed in). Maybe D-Maximus is just joking around.

Oh, I see now. It's a pic of a pic. We all thought it was a pic of just the packaged figure.Quantum Surge wrote:

Ok, that makes sense. I was serious when I thought it looked small
