Transformers Legacy commander class Motormaster has been out in Australia for a little while now. We posted many in hand images but we never posted a video review. Some fans have sent some in and we are sharing this one from Grim, who reviewed it first after purchasing it at retail. Grim goes through the whole gamut, showing how to go from one mode to another. He even has the Arialbots come in to form the legs for fun.

Believe it or not, we are just two weeks away from the original release date of the Transformers Rise of the Beasts movie, before it got moved to 2023. Well, instead of the film, Hasbro is giving us our first "official" look at how Bumblebee will look like in the beginning of the film. At the end of the Bumblebee movie, he became a 70's Camaro so that is the same alt mode he will have in the beginning of the film, and we've seen it on set many times. However, this is our best look yet at his robot mode. It was revealed on the official Transformers page of the Russian social media site VK. What is odd is that alongside it we also have the box render of the original Optimus Primal toy.
Bumblebee does change form later in the film into an offroad vehicle and his robot mode kibble changes accordingly as we have already seen in the toys.

Super7 Transformers Ultimates Wave 4 Revealed

While the first wave of Super7's Transformers Ultimates lineup is hitting collectors' mailboxes now, a fourth wave of this officially licensed, non-transforming action figure line has been revealed. Leaving behind the fun choices in the first three waves which included characters from Action Masters, Pretenders, the Sunbow cartoon and IDW comics, this wave only consists of two G1 repaints and another G1 standard bearer. This decidedly G1 wave will bring collectors a regular version of Starscream, Soundwave and the corpse of Optimus Prime, officially called "Fallen Leader Optimus Prime" just as Super7's Reaction version of the dead Autobot leader is.

As with previous waves, these are "Made-to-Order" figures, but thankfully the pricing continues to hold steady at $55 per figure. Images of the three figures are below, and pre-orders are available now through Super7's website as well as via our site sponsors TFSource, BigBadToyStore, and The Chosen Prime.

While not major news, these images of the instructions for Transforming Optimus Primal mask do add many new wrinkles to the whole Rise of the Beasts line. We know these transforming masks are already in ports (there is also a Bumblebee one) along with the Smash and Change toys like the upcoming Optimus Prime and yet while both are in the same set of movie listings, the labelling is different. The Smash and Change Rise of the Beasts toys are going to be in Cyberverse packaging, we saw that. And it was confirmed that they were initially supposed to be in Rise of the Beasts packaging. We even had a description of the packaging having a volcano/molten lava theme from those who had seen mock ups. "Rise of the Beasts" is now nowhere to be found on the Cyberverse packaging. However, we have these photos below which are of the instructions that come with the transforming mask and they have the Rise of the Beasts labelling. So will we be getting toys in Cyberverse packaging that have ROTB labelled instructions? Only time will tell but it seems not everything could be stopped and shifted around, making this ROTB toyline rather interesting.

As is the case with almost every pop culture movie, the first look at new designs and characters is through the merchandise and Transformers 7 Rise of the Beasts (ROTB) is no different. Thanks to some slipper boots and pajamas, we have our first look at the Bumblebee design from ROTB. Of course we don't know how different it will look in the final film but this is the design Hasbro gave companies that licensed their brand for film related products. The look is very much a mix of what we saw in the Bumblebee film mixed with elements from the first Michael Bay film, going hand in hand with the statements of the director that his movie is a bridge between the different films, at least stylistically. Bad news for fans hoping to be done with Bayverse designs, but that was never going to be the case, as we saw that from the earlier product reviews. Of course, inspiration from Bay's live action films does not mean that the story or approach would be the same, since this is a different director and this film takes place in a different era.

We have another product shown featuring many faction symbols. It is important to note that the Predacon symbol is not there, which could hint at how little that faction is involved with the film. Remember, there have been no confirmation of any Predacon character being in the film so far. The listings for the various apparel come from BIG W.

We Finally Known that Velocitron Blurr will be the IDW Version

We have now seen half of the Walmart exclusive Legacy Velocitron line and the one character that was really up in the air was Blurr. Some early rumours said it would be a new mold for Armada Blurr which would then be reused for G1 Point Blank. And then later there was a rumour that it would be a redeco of SS86 Blurr. Well, it's neither, it is IDW Blurr. While it is based heavily on the SS86 mold, it is not just a redeco but has retooled parts in the alt mode and robot mode to give him that IDW look. The alt mode is especially different in the front half, as you will see in the images below coming at us from a new Chefatron review.

This means that the different universes used in this line so far are IDW, RID (kind of), G1 and Unicron Trilogy.

The full list of toys in this line is below but the ones we have yet to see are Burnout, Roadrocket and Cosmos.

Hasbro just revealed the latest in their new series of GI Joe Transformers collaborative projects. The preoder for it will be up at 1pm on Pulse.

We have lots of new stock images of the upcoming Legacy figures, including in packaging images of deluxes Tarantulas, Elita 1, Knockout and Wildrider. While Wildrider's backpack is mistransformed it shows that the back kibble can be all bunched up for a different look. There are also more images from Takara for the same toys as well as Metroplex and Motormaster.

Takara has many new preorders on their end but they are all of toys that have already been revealed. however, that does give us some new images of figures we have not seen too much of yet, like Studio Series voyagers Galvatron and Thundercracker. Takara is usually pretty good at toy photography but according to many fans, these photos are not giving that Galvatron and favours.

We also have more photos of Metroplex, who luckily for Japanese fans is not a TTMall exclusive. In fact none of these are.

You might have forgotten about this one but the rather controversial Flame Toys Windblade model kit has since come out and several reviewers who usually don't review Transformers toys are giving their take on it. This toy has had quite the crossover appeal since it is also a model kit and the design is more in line with a sexier design we see in different Japanese statue and toy lines aimed at older collectors. Even the face is far more stylized and doll-like than mechanical, and that goes for the rest of the model. We have two video reviews for you below. This is a hot toy (no pun intended) and it has garnered a lot of attention so if you want to be in the know, you can check the videos out below.

Takara has revealed the latest Masterpiece trainbot, Yukikaze. The MSRP is the same as Shouki, at 19,800 yen but that includes taxes and we all know by now that non exclusives are sold at a different price by Japanese retailers like Amazon Japan or AmiAmi which has him for 4000 yen less. We will be getting preorders for this throughout the week from our sponsors and other retailers so keep an eye out for the specific retailer you have chosen to buy these trainbots from.

It is fun to see that while Yukikaze turns into a leg, this is the release Takara chose to also add the combiner head with. So this below you will see our first look at Raiden's head.

The Transformers Legacy deluxe Red Cog (from the Netflix show) weapon pack will be a Red Card exclusive at Target later in the year. It's already been revealed by Hasbro and we now have some in hand photos coming from a video review of PrimevsPrime.

In the review you can see how he can attach to the back of Arcee for that dual canon mode we saw in the show. We also see the various accessories used by other characters like Elita 1's long rifle.

It is Masterpiece Yukikaze, who we see in train, bot and leg mode. He turns into a realistic 200 Series Shinkansen bullet train. So far, these toys range between the 120-160 price depending on which retailer you get them from.

Rise of the Beasts Toyline News: First Studio Series Listing and Transforming Primal Mask

Lots of Rise of the Beasts (ROTB) news today when it comes to toys. We had new listings earlier today and we have another one: Studio Series leader class Optimus Primal. this is our very first listing for a Rise of the Beast toy not made just for kids. However, this is a leader class toy, and Optimus Primal is usually voyager sized, so expect the similar type of release where the main bot is voyager sized and comes with accessories or more parts, bumping him up a class.

This comes from fellow Seibertronian Gotbot who posts on youtube. He had another listing, Transformers Generations Holiday Prime, though that is not a movie listing.

As for more ROTB news, we have a new product to show you. it is part of the mainline for kids, a transforming mask. It is a mask of Optimus Primal's beast mode which turns into Optimus Primal's robot mode. We again see the new Maximal symbol used for the upcoming movie and we know this is a real product since we have the instructions next to it. There will be similar masks for other characters like Bumblebee, here is the vendor listing for them:

More Rhinox, Primal and Scourge Toys Coming to the Rise of the Beasts Main Toyline for Kids

Apparently, the mainline Rise of the Beasts toys are on US shores but we have no indication of when they will be found in stores. While we believe these toys will be in Cyberverse packaging, we only know of that certainty with the Smash Changers (see below). Speaking of which, while we have seen Optimus Prime already, we now know this toy class will also get Rhinox and Optimus Primal.

And we now know Scourge is also getting another toy in the line in the Battle Changers class. We get this question often, so here is the answer again: the ROTB movie toys we'd expect in a Studio Series line are not coming out this year and we currently have no listings regarding them, the toys coming out this year are all for a younger audience.
