Earlier this week, Seibertron.com user Cyberpath posted a piece of unused concept art by Floro Dey in the Energon Pub forums. It got some attention and good comments, and inspired others to track down more of Dey's art for his vision of the G1 universe. Now, Seibertron user sabrblade has gone and compiled an almost comprehensive list of all the available artwork out there, from his blog and his Etsy "FDartstudio" account. The concepts span across seasons 2 and 3 and the 1986 movie of the G1 cartoon, and some that never made it into the series at all. Take a look below at an image heavy post, and feast your eyes on some early G1 goodness.

Jonathan Cathey of The Loyal Subjects sent us a note to let the public know that their exclusive Starscream and Cobra Commander set will be available at the Newbury Comics store, located in Providence, Rhode Island on Saturday November 23rd. Designer Les Schettkoe will make an appearance during this event.
We've included the press release and images below
To our Friends, Family and Partners,
The Loyal Subjects are expanding the Transformers line of mini collectibles and combining them with G.I. Joe for the very first time! Up to now, only Hasbro has mashed these two delicious, heroic and equally villainous worlds together – most recently during the 2012 SDCC campaign where Cobra Commander piloted Starscream. Of Course! It makes perfect sense! Not only are these two of the Universe’s most treacherous villains, Stascream needs a leader to direct him to his selfish spoils! If not Megatron, who better than Cobra Commander?
These two characters are linked more than most think. The same voice talent for Starscream was also the voice of Cobra Commander. These two characters belong together in the lore of treachery and villainy.
The Loyal Subjects are proud to announce the Exclusive Cobra Commander x Starscream two-pack set with our esteemed and famed retail partner Newbury Comics! Only available through Newbury Comics for a cool collectible price – between $28.00-$30.00 per set (please check with Newbury Comics). The 2 pack boasts two three inch figurines and a gold stun blaster wielded by Cobra Commander. Exclusive and special window box packaging keeps these collectibles unique so keep the box!
The Loyal Subjects and series designer Les Schettkoe will be on hand at the Newbury Comics Providence, Rhode Island location Saturday November 23rd from 2p-5:30p. Door prizes, raffles and special Hasbro give-aways will be on hand so don’t miss out! Providence is the hometown of Hasbro and one of Newbury Comic’s busiest locations so what better place to kick this party off right!
Edition size – 1,000 Sets
See you there!
About The Loyal Subjects –
As Donnie and Marie famously said when describing their act, "I'm a little bit Country and I'm a little bit Rock and Roll", or the incidental marriage of two flavorful elements (Chocolate and Peanut Butter) merging into a tasty flash of brilliance, the same experimental spirit can be said when describing The Loyal Subjects - "We're a little bit Willy Wonka, dunked in a Koonsian ether topped off with some Iggy Pop." Voila! The Loyal Subjects in a nutshell.
The Loyal Subjects was born in 2009. Our Mission? Let's have fun, do what we like and keep true to a creative spirit. So far so good. What do we value? The creative process, our ideas and most importantly, YOU!
We hope that we can keep you engaged, entertained and we plan on surpassing your expectations. Stick with us kids, we're going places!

While we know TF:AOE is a sequel to the previous trilogy, Wahlberg points out it's very different from the previous films and can "stand-alone". Transformers: Age of Extinction hit theaters June 27th, 2014.
It’s a completely different stand-alone movie. It takes place after the third one, after the battle of Chicago. It’s definitely its own story.
I think it’s very different and fresh and people are going to really enjoy it. I had a blast making it,” he said. “And you’re going to see things in this particular movie that you haven’t seen in the other movies.

IDW comics and Transformers Prime animated series writer Mairghread Scott has just pointed us towards a brilliant project involving the women behind the award-winning Transformers: Prime series, in collaboration with HerUniverse.com. The four videos include Nicole Dubuc, Sumalee Montano-Zimmerman, Tania Gunadi, Meredith Rodgers, Therese Trujillo, Austin Block, Meghan Burleson and Scott herself talking about working in animation at different levels. Take a look at the full press release and four videos below!
NEW YORK, NY – November 13th, 2013 -2013 is the “Year of the Fangirl” and to celebrate, Her Universe™ has been spotlighting a different fangirl every day on HerUniverse.com showing their diversity, dreams and interests. Geek Girls are one of the fastest growing and important segments of the sci-fi/fantasy audience and can be found in every walk of life, including the entertainment business. Now, in four exclusive video segments produced in cooperation with Hasbro Studios and available to watch on HerUniverse.com, Ashley Eckstein, Founder of Her Universe, is highlighting and interviewing the amazing “professional fangirls” behind the award winning animated series, Transformers Prime, produced by Hasbro Studios which airs on the HUB network in the U.S. and is seen in over 180 countries. From voice talent to producing, writing, editing and design these women are “prime” examples of how female fans can achieve their dreams and create worlds of imagination for others to enjoy. You can watch the videos here: http://www.heruniverse.com/blog/news/he ... mers-prime
“We kicked off 2013 with the mission to shine the spotlight on amazing fangirls and bring their stories to the masses,” said Eckstein. “We were approached by writer Mairghread Scott and she gave us the opportunity to go behind the scenes and meet many of the incredible women behind Transformers Prime at Hasbro Studios! There are so many fangirls that work tirelessly to bring our beloved franchises to life and it’s been a goal of mine to highlight the integral roles that women play and to expose these roles to younger fangirls with big dreams!”
The Transformers Prime series, which concluded in 2013 with a thrilling Transformers Prime Beast Hunters: Predacons Rising animated movie which was broadcast on The Hub network and released on DVD in October, was well-received and won multiple Daytime Emmy Awards during its three season run. In the exclusive videos, Eckstein interviews key female players such as writers Mairghread Scott and Nicole Dubuc, voice actors Sumalee Montano and Tania Gunadi, Animatics Editor Meghan Burleson and Post Production Head Austin Block, Production Coordinator Meredith Rodgers and Animation Producer Therese Trujillo.
“It was a wonderful experience working with Ashley and Her Universe to highlight the fantastic women on Transformers Prime,” said writer Mairghread Scott who was also instrumental in creating these videos. “Her Universe is more than a fabulous fashion company; they are a positive force for women in genre entertainment and geek girls everywhere.”

FUNCTION: Gunner Masterpiece Bluestreak is in many collectors’ hands at this time, and he looks fiiiiiinnnneeee. New MP galleries on the site get discussed, too.
And of course, galleries lead to more galleries...we look at Magnificus, a very worthy repaint of a pretty good figure. And it’s black. My class picture...I looked so young there.
Guess what?!? More micron arms exclusives are on the way from TakaraTomy. Whoa! Pretty colors.
My favorite topic, black exclusives. Black exclusive, black exclusive black exclusive Hunter Optimus Prime, black exclusive black exclusive Leo Prime...BLACK EXCLUSIVE!
TOPIC du JOUR What happens when a brand gets so popular it has major motion pictures, many comic book titles, cartoons, and not one, but two toy companies that produce toys in the name of it? Why, we have a bit of a topic of discussion with the podcast crew as we try to figure out just what a Transformer is these days. Something for everyone? Or no seeming direction to the brand?
Not to be outdone, we talk about IDW’s TRANFORMERS MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE #22 which finally answers the question, “So what the hell does Rung transform into?” Just when you’d had your fill of Transformer big names showing up and being all high and mighty, another shows up and does the same...
Oh and there’s a little Transformers comics event coming soon, DARK CYBERTRON #1 is coming soon, and we give a quick breakdown of some preview pages courtesy of iTunes.
Hey, the Twincast would be nothing without our community of listeners, and we answer some questions from the listener mailbag that ask about displays, mixing your lines, waffles, and outrageous ideas for the upcoming Whirl toy's repaint/retool. Thanks for the questions!
Ryan turns a blind eye to our next discussion about third party toys, and what is the future of the toys, the companies, and the popularity. Anybody been priced out yet?
Speaking of third party toys we finally get into bragging rights where more unofficial product gets mention.
Thanks for listening to the Twincast podcast. We love doing this for all you who give it a listen.
