Seibertron is revving up gallery production again! As always, they're the most comprehensive, striking galleries around, and this time, he's going all the way back to G2! Given that the just released
Legacy line has a Leader class figure of the Autobot commander Optimus in an updated version of his G2 form (
which you can see a gallery of here), it seemed only natural to create galleries of the bot who inspired it.
In these new galleries, we not only get Legacy Leader Prime's inspiration, 1995's G2 Laser Optimus Prime (and all his light-up gimmick glory) , but we get a couple of rare redecos of the mold. The rarest version of that G2 mold is Laser Ultra Magnus, released by e-hobby back in 2006. The Laser Ultra Magnus figure came in a box meant for Laser Prime, and even included his stickers. It used the tooling of the original redeco of the mold, RID Scourge, but was a completely different deco based on G1 Ultra Magnus' inner robot. The next is of Year of the Goat Optimus Prime, a partially translucent plastic version of the mold released in 2015 in the Platinum Edition line (which still included the light up electronic features).
And now on to the galleries! Please click on any picture below to feast your eyes on all this G2 and G2 inspired goodness.
Generation 2 Laser Optimus Prime (123 images) - Laser Rods (Illuminators)
Generation 2 Laser Ultra Magnus (90 images) - Laser Rods (Illuminators)
Platinum Edition Year of the Goat Optimus Prime (107 images) - Miscellaneous

The Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast is back again to talk about, you guessed it, Transformers. Join ScottyP, Megatronus, and xRotorstormx as we get discuss the latest news and answer more listener questions.
Episode #296 “Gorilla Warfare” is available directly and in our RSS Feed, and should appear on Apple Podcasts, Stitcher Radio and many other Podcatcher sites within 24 to 48 hours of when you see this news post.
Here's what we discuss in this episode:
- Images for a Rise of the Beasts Optimus Primal toy give us a peak into the movie character's design - but will it stay that way? The cast has their doubts.
- Funko is getting into the NFT game with POP! toys, and we find the whole ordeal exhausting. We speak about NFTs at some length in Episode 275, and our views have not changed much since then.
- According to Twitter, FJ DeSanto and team pitched a cartoon for Transformers Legacy to Netflix. Netflix passed. Praise Primus.
- Studio Series toys from the 2018 Bumblebee Movie are out about town, and ScottyP scooped up a few to rave reviews. Things are looking up.
- meanguns, asks: "I'm not going to buy them, you're not going to buy them; what's the 'best case scenario' for the TF micro machines sets?" A bit presumptuous aren't we?
- meanguns also asks: "My Core Ravage will not become a box and my SG Blurr is... loose... What is your worst off the shelf experience?"
- RotorstormNZ asks: "With IDW not renewing their licence for TF comics, what will happen to the digital copies folks like me have purchased over the years?" Take it away, ScottyP...
- We wrap up with a round of bragging rights. What did everyone get since last time?

The Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast is a Transformers podcast, and boy are you going to get some Transformers. Join ScottyP, Megatronus, Mr. Starscream, and a special appearance by Seibertron himself as we get discuss the latest news and answer more listener questions.
Episode #295 “Fan Mail Rumble” is available directly and in our RSS Feed, and should appear on Apple Podcasts, Stitcher Radio and many other Podcatcher sites within 24 to 48 hours of when you see this news post.
Here's what we discuss in this episode:
- The latest Transformers Collaborative project is revealed: a G.I. Joe mashup pairing Megatron as a transforming H.I.S.S. tank with Cobra femme fatale Baroness. We get down to the figure, the packaging, and that big price tag.
- Transformers will appear in two new animated iterations: BotBots on Netflix, and EarthSpark on Nickelodeon. We can't quite say we understand either of them, but it's always good to see more content on the horizon.
- Speaking of content, an intriguing new comic mini series has been announced: Last Bot Standing. Coming from the imagination of Nick Roche with art by E.J. Su, is this a comic the Twincast can get excited about?
- D-Maximal_Primal, the slacker of too many questions, asks: "Should we ever get a studio series TLK Infernocus, what would be the best way to make him?" Megatronus answers a different question.
- Otaku-mus Prime asks: "When ordering online, what imperfections on your figure and/or packaging are tolerable and what imperfections absolutely result in a replacement/return?" This triggers a much deeper conversation.
- meanguns asks: "I had a couple too many on Friday, and I'm now the owner of Masterpieces Exhaust & Acid Storm... Has anyone on the panel made some "accidental" purchases?" As a matter of fact...
- We wrap up with a round of bragging rights. What did everyone get since last time?

The Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast is back in your feeds with an allegedly short episode that stretches into infinity, or at least into the typical length for this podcast. Listen in as ScottyP and Megatronus do their thing with Transformers news.
Episode #293 “License to Thrill” is available directly and in our RSS Feed, and should appear on Apple Podcasts, Stitcher Radio and many other Podcatcher sites within 24 to 48 hours of when you see this news post.
Here's what we discuss in this episode:
- After some irreverent small talk, we dive in earnest into Daikron, AKA Diaclone Ironhide, and the amazing packaging upgrade to Legacy's Generations Selects line.
- Speaking of Legacy, new core class figures have been revealed: Iguanus and Skywarp. While Skywarp's lack of ion blasters give us pause, there is no resisting the near perfect, threading-the-Pretenders-needle execution of Iguanus.
- The rumors have become reality as IDW is reported to lose the Transformers license at the end of the calendar year. We speculate on the remaining releases and how to transition to the new license holder.
- Rise of the Beasts the movie, delayed? Well that's not going to stop Rise of the Beasts toys from hitting shelves in Q2 of this year. How will these toys fair without media support? Not great.
- We have a Rise of the Beasts-related listener question from meanguns: "Everyone give a realistic prediction and a bold/ridiculous prediction." Well... you asked for it.
- Next we speak to the rollout of Legacy, the appearance of the line at French retail, and whether there's been a shift in approach given supply chain constraints and container allocations, or if it's just all in our heads.
- We wrap up with a round of bragging rights. Megatronus couldn't find an image of the really, really, really cool thing ScottyP got, so you'll just have to listen in to find out but he used magic Admin powers to edit this post to add it in. Cool!

The Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast is back in your feeds with chatter from real people - or maybe we're just constructs in the Matrix. Listen in as ScottyP, Mr. Starscream, and Megatronus dive head first into Transformers news you can use.
Episode #292 “Planet of Junk” is available directly and in our RSS Feed, and should appear on Apple Podcasts, Stitcher Radio and many other Podcatcher sites within 24 to 48 hours of when you see this news post.
Here's what we discuss in this episode:
- We kick off our show with the latest redeco this side of Quintessa: Studio Series Junkyard. As we struggle to come up with the rest of the Junkion cast, we ask: do you watch TV?
- Next up is dad's exo-suit - he told me all about it. Spike looks promising and we look forward to the inevitable, no-way-it's-not-going-to happen Daniel version. Also, Generations Selects Beast Wars Sandstorm is a thing - meh.
- Now for something completely different: the reveal of MPG-02 Masterpiece Trainbot Getsuei. The attractive bot mode and prospect of completing the team sooner rather than later has us excited. Not to mention the display options.
- Micro Machines: can't live with them, can't figure out what these random piles of vehicles are all about. Have we come full circle on Micro Masters at this point?
- Images of Transformers Legacy's Deluxe Dragstrip has the fandom in a tizzy. Namely, the way it appears this figure forms Menasor's arm: by separating. To which the Twincast replies: what did you expect? Get over it. Sorry not sorry.
- We answer two questions from Seibertron community member rocket7559: "how do y'all feel about 3rd party add ons for your hasbro produced transformers?" and "how do y'all collect and why?"
- Next, we play a game suggested by Seibertron community member meanguns, where the cast decides what we'd have (f)un with / keep in (m)y collection/ or (k)ill. We wrap up with a universal bragging right that has us unexpectedly pleased.

It's the beginning of a new year, and with the turn of the calendar the Seibertron.com Twincast Podcast looks back at 2021, ahead to 2022, and inwards to figure out what resolution to make that won't be kept. Join host Scotty P as he chats with Megatronus through various rounds of superlatives, sore spots and bold predictions for what's to come in the year ahead.
Episode #291 “Til All Are 2021” is available directly and in our RSS Feed, and should appear on Apple Podcasts, Stitcher Radio and many other Podcatcher sites within 24 to 48 hours of when you see this news post.
Here's what we discuss in this episode:
- Our superlatives for 2021 start out with what we thought was objectively the best Transformers toy released in the past year.
- We follow that up with our subjective favorites - those with flaws that we love above most others anyhow.
- We pick through a tiny pile of Transformers TV and comic releases to choose a favorite among those.
- 2020 had an energy all its own that carried through mostly uninterrupted to 2021, so please enjoy our Second Annual Most 2020 Moment of the Year segment.
- Not everything was good, so we give one last jeer to what we thought was the worst Transformers toy of the year and the worst Transformers anything of the year, while answering a listener question along the way.
- Our greatest collecting achievements of the year
- The always fun time of making predictions for the year ahead, featuring our easy-street, layup predictions plus those that are purely in the realm of wishful thinking.
- Bragging Rights take us away as usual
