Thats because the exchange rate changed too. It was always around the 4500 yen mark for UW sets but sicne the last combiner release, the yen has caught up to the US$ and is now on par. So whil the shipping might have increased a tiny bit (only 500 yen), the fact that its added to the on par exchang makes it look super steep.
Also, I didnt get my notification from anime export yet, should be soon if you got it from amiami. Cant wait to ship both him and blurr.

I will admit though that Megaempress looks sublime, but thats because she goes against the highlighter with black blotches theme of the rest.

Personally, I never liked the grated detail on that mold's thighs, as it looks really tacky to me. Takara's decos coloring the grating in one solid color, the same color as the surrounding areas on thighs, doing their best to hide that obnoxious detail was always preferable to me.william-james88 wrote:Back to Megatronia for a bit, I think its a good case of Takara being different from hasbro and not better. Hasbro's deco is pretty good and highlights just as much detail if not more (plus you get Dust Up and dont need to import if you are in the west).

Ok, that Megatronia set needs a Flamewar repaint of Legends Groove to finish it off

Megaempress was created from spare parts from Megatron's construction in Cybertron's underground; once Megatron's equal, Megaempress formed and ruled over the Woman Destrons. But Laserwave, fearing her presence, stopped her functions and put her to sleep underground. She is the self-proclaimed wife of the Emperor of Destruction and Empress of the Destrons. She is always accompanied by her body guards, who she has christened the 4 Guards and who possess specific abilities. The rail fusion cannon on her back has a destructive power comparable to Megatron's fusion cannon; using the "Judge Pickel" weapon, she can smash everything. She has a noble and greedy personality. She transforms into a destructive fire engine.

"Pickel" is a German word for "Pick-axe", and the term Japan uses to refer to the tool.william-james88 wrote:Judge Pickel?

Yeah it really is. Another part of the deco I love is the black hands and feet. Adds a nice unity to the whole combiner. The silver ones on Victorion stand out in comparison.

From the victorion figure? Probably never, TT isn't known to release multiple repaints of a figure, adn they just released a really nice and accurate one a year ago...

JAK-Q! Bunch'a cyborgs who met an accident and given a new lease in life. I used to watch this together with Go-Ranger/Star Rangers back in 1978.

Oh I'm sure someone will...but you know Megatronia, she's a bad girl, she doesn't wear cover plates...

I'm thinking...
Megaempress is an OK name, so she can keep it. In my collection she'll be part of the Decepticon upper echelons rather than a rogue...though she'll still be a hopeless Megatron fangirl convinced that Megs is her hasubando.
Lunaclub will be renamed Windburn, and personality wise will remain much the same (immature Starscream stalker etc).
Moonheart will be renamed Pulsewave, and instead of merely training under Soundwave, she will actually have successfully wooed him. She'll also have the ability to summon Soundwave's minions via pocket dimension.
Flowspade will be renamed Motorhead. She'll be something of a Decepticon equivalent of a Noise Marine, and I'll probably make her a custom Shapeways sonic blaster of some description. She's also best buddies with Shockwave, as she's always willing to test out whatever crazy weapons and upgrades he's cranked out.
Trickdiamond will be renamed Razequeen. Her personality will remain much the same.
Together, they combine to form Gorgonia, a mighty but vain and arrogant warrior.
Any other ideas for names?

I was actually trying to draw a Precure comparison with the Dokidoki girls but aside from purple being spades, the colors and suits don't align.
Then again they don't especially match with JAKQ either.
Anyway does this mean Megaempress is Big One?

But vicki doesn't it just says free shipping even to the UK - so does that mean there is a fee to pay when she arrives then as if she's that cheap and has no additional fee's she's well worth it but if I have to pay £20.00 or so when she shows up not so much.

I like them making a decepticon team but why didn't they use iconic characters? Make a team out of the vilest decepticon females?
Animated Blacharachnia, Airachnid, Thunderblast, Nightracer, and maybe nightbird and Flamewar.
But seriously, I would have bought that set in a fast second. Ugh Im like sick that they didnt do that. I really thought it would be something like that.
Posted by Sabrblade on August 25th, 2016 @ 4:09pm CDT
Likely because, aside from Dust Up's head resembling Nightbird, none of the headsculpts look enough like any preexisting fembot characters to have been made into them.Optimizzy wrote:I like them making a decepticon team but why didn't they use iconic characters? ... I just wish they could be differentiated more from the Torchbearers. This is the thing that's holding me back the most if I'm completely honest; I just would not be able to see these characters with their Autobot counterparts existing in the same universe.

I would have liked to see new heads from them. Why not go all out? they usually do.

Because the whole point of making this set is to use the new tooling it has

A few days. TFSource and BBTS dont have a direct link to Takara so they dont have them in their warehouses in advance. They instead have to wait for their middleman supplier to ship it to them. Shipping from Japan can be very quick though, so I'd assume 2 days.
And dammit Anime Export, WHY YOU NO MARK HIM IN STOCK!!!!???!!!

Oh that's true. I must admit that like, this isn't actually really a criticism, and more a preference of mine. Unless I'm getting together figures for a specific display of a specific series - a MTMTE or TFP shelf - then the figures I get I tend to like bunching into it's own little make-believe universe. So yes; TFP Vehicons, Universe Dropshot, RiD Strongarm, Armada Tidal Wave, Combiner Wars Bruticus, Generations Roadbuster, the-eventual-obvious-scourge-repaint-of-titans-return-G2-Optimus... all in one little insane universe. And I love it.
So it's just a bit of a shame to me personally that I can't shove something this cool into it when it looks so much like something I find cooler is all

So I ended up paying about $160 for the set, so the exchange rate screwed me up. Of course a couple days ago I checked BBTS and UW Computron's pre-order was open again. I could've saved $15 going through BBTS. Such is life
