The demand for "classics" versions of the original
Generation 1 characters is huge since the launch of the Transformers 2006 "
Classics" line.
Universe 2008 Blaster was originally designed to fill the spot, but fans where disappointed since it was just a straight repaint of
Cybertron Soundwave, but thanks to Takara Tomy we now have another option!
And this option goes by the name of
Device Label Blaster, who turns into a USB hub that looks like a laptop instead of a boombox. But he still manages to look like
Blaster in robot-mode, combined with the fact that he has modern articulation and detailing on top of being able to hold G1 cassettes in his cheast makes him possibly the best Classics
Blaster stand-in we will be getting for a long while.
Blaster is an actual functioning USB hub and can hold up to four USB devices! Sadly it is very unlikely that this will ever be sold outside of Japan, but that doesn't mean you can't drool at pictures of him! Just click the following image and enjoy his seibertron.com gallery:

Transformers Animated might be dead in the west, but in Japan it's got some life left in it yet. Takara Tomy had a special lottery with the Japanese supermarket chain "FamilyMart" one of the prizes was an
Animated Optimus Prime. This version of
Animated Optimus Prime is based off the
Deluxe Class "Earth Mode" Optimus Prime. However this version is different from the original release, as it's not only rare but also "clean", meaning that it lacks the black "Battle Damage" paint apps of the original. Just click the image to see the full gallery!

HK-TF member L-U has posted new images of the upcoming G1 Grapple homage figure known as
Solar Storm Grappel, the new spelling of the name might be due to Trademark reasons. It is likely that this figure will be part of the "Revel the Shield" subline, due to the presence of a rub sign.
Grappel is of course a remoulded repaint of Voyager class
Universe Inferno.

BigBadToyStore.com has posted images and a preorder for one of the next Transformers Stealth Force releases. This deluxe class, monster truck, aptly named
BIG HOSS, has a cool, flamed out paint job and "transforms" to reveal multiple front cannons, side exhaust guns, and rear mortars extending from the bed. There's no word yet on the origin of the name, although
UrbanDictionary.com defines Big Hoss as, "describing a person, place, event, or action that is done greatly, strongly, manly, and sometimes even beastly" which certainly fits here. One could also speculate that the name is a nod to the show Pawn Stars that recently featured an episode with a massive Transformers collection.
Corey aka "Big Hoss" is the manager of the pawn shop on the show.
Big Hoss is listed as part of Hasbro's Stealth Force deluxe wave 2 and is expected in January.

Seibertron.com member G1Sizzle has posted a part review part comparison guide on the previously revealed KO reissue of henkei Gentei Thundercracker. You can use this to distinguish the KO from the real deal.
G1Sizzle wrote:Since I bought two of the KO Henkei TCs, people have been asking me to review them so they'll know whether or not to purchase them. Here goes!
This is the KO (left) standing next to the legit original Henkei Thundercracker (right). As you can see, there aren't a lot of differences between the two. The differences are mostly very very subtle. As you can see, though, the actual Henkei figure has its launchers held onto its arms by rubber bands, whereas the KO is actually able to support its own launchers. Your mileage may vary, though, as the launcher port on the KO's right arm (your left) is a little loose, but nowhere near as loose as the actual product.
To be perfectly frank, this KO is perhaps the best KO I have ever seen. It is sturdy, the transformation process is fluid, and the plastic quality feels like the real deal. I had no issues in transforming it, and it's actually a bit less floppy than the Henkei version. The only joints I thought were too stiff were on the bottom right tailfin, which took a little more pressure to fold up than I was comfortable with. Otherwise, the figure fits together in both modes quite comfortably. All in all, the KO has BETTER paint apps than the original, and holds its launchers better.
The only real problem was that one of the launchers was broken and the missile won't fit in correctly. A simple fix, really.
Simply put, if you want Thundercracker and can't afford the Botcon or Henkei versions, this guy is the one for you, and the price is unbeatable.
Now...I imagine a lot of you are wondering how you can avoid being taken in and buying the KO thinking you are getting the real deal. Well, I'm glad you asked, because I'm about to tell you how you can tell the difference between the two:
The real Henkei version has a notch in the "knee pad" of TC's leg. The KO is perfectly squared.
As you can see from the back of the two TCs' wings, the red on the Henkei version is a much lighter color. This is most noticeable on the wing backs, but is true for the whole figure. The KO figure's red is a much deeper red. Also, I feel like the blue on the KO is a tad deeper blue, and I'm quite sure that the cockpit is a MUCH deeper amber color.
As you can see, the alignment of the Decepticon sigil on the front of the wing is a bit off. That's only true on one wing of my KO, so I'm not certain that this is common to each figure. However, it is one of the few differences that can be detected BEFORE opening the packaging.
This one is a dead giveaway. It's so small, it's almost unnoticeable, but there is a notch on each seeker's shoulder. On the real deal, the notch compromises the silver swatch. It's this way on every seeker that I have, including other KOs. But on this KO, the notch is significantly lower on the shoulder and doesn't cross into the silver swatch at all.
All things considered, I recommend this KO to people who don't have Thundercracker and can't afford him. And I hope this review helps those of you who want to know the difference.

Expanding on the news of the recently revealed
Power Core Combiners 2011 Wave 2 sets, we've got high quality, official and in-package images of the brand new figures, all courtesy of site sponsor
TFsource. First up is the newest five-pack
Spastic with the Stunticons, homaging to an extent,
G1 Menasor. Spastic is a repaint of
Leadfoot, while his drones are mixes of both
Rallybots and
Destructicons. Next up are the new two new two-packs. One is
Salvage with Bombburst, perhaps trying to
salvage the mediocre
Mudslinger figure with a new paint job. Bombburst is a repaint of
Chainclaw. The second is
Undertow with Waterlog, the first ever sea-vehicle in the PCC line, with a suitable algae-colored mini-con.
If you wanted another look at
Heavytread with Groundspike, and
Skyhammer with Airlift, there are official images as well. Check out all of the images below! By clicking any of the pictures or links, you'll be forwarded straight to
TFsource's pre-orders of these figures.

Get ready for a blast of
Takara Transformers Animated in the
toy galleries of Seibertron.com. This month we have elusive exclusives and Animated figures that Hasbro have yet to, or will unlikely, release. The first figure to start it all off is
Family Mart "Lucky Draw" Prize C -
Activators Skywarp. This figure utilizes the
Activators Starscream mold, with the purple, black and grey color scheme of Skywarp. Activators Skywarp was never released under Hasbro's name, while Takara is still far off from completing the Animated seekers in the Activators scale (Ramjet upcoming, Slipstream and Sunstorm yet to be announced). For your viewing pleasure, check out the full gallery by clicking the link or picture below!

The Universe of the Transformers is vast, and populated by many characters. Their universe is a large tapestry, made up of the stories and points of view of countless experiences that serve the larger whole.
These are some of those stories. This is:
It should be noted that while this project has been recognized by IDW Publishing and Hasbro, none of the works presented have been commissioned or solicited by either company. The stories are not official canon, except where noted. These stories are the result of Transformers enthusiasts taking the time out of their busy days to contribute to a universe they love. Shaun Yzquierdo, the brother of Ryan "Seibertron.com" Yzquierdo, works in the auto industry and was at last week's
SEMA Show in Las Vegas.
SEMA, which stands for Specialty Equipment Market Association, is an organization made up of auto manufacturers and aftermarket retailers that has a huge, annual trade show in Las Vegas, Nevada. At this year's show, Shaun came across
Anzo USA, a manufacturer of aftermarket lighting accessories for cars and trucks, who was displaying Transformers branded tail lights and lighting accessories. Included in their product line is a set of replacement tail lights for the 2010 Chevrolet Camero that features a lighted, LED Autobot logo. Also overlooking things at the Anzo USA's booth-Bumblebee himself! No word on when these products are scheduled for release but if we learn more, we'll post an update.
