29 year old Marcus Goh won a USS sponsored contest in order participate in the official opening of Transformers The Ride, at Universal Studios, Singapore. The contest asked fans to "pledge their allegiance" by entering pictures that featured an Autobot insignia. Goh arranged all of his red Transformers against a black backdrop to form the recognizable symbol. A lifelong fan and collector, with a very respectable 500 plus figure collection, Marcus was as excited as any fan would be about the event saying "I was psyching myself up (for today) listening to the Transformers soundtrack on the way to work, in the gym and all over the place,". Congratulations Marcus!

Takara's Transformers Prime "First Edition" figures were on display at the Tokyo Motor Show 2011, and Autobase Aichi has been kind enough to share some images with the fan community. We see all eight "First Edition" figures plus DSM Deluxes Que/Wheeljack, Soundwave, and the Takara exclusive Neoscanning Bumblebee. We've mirrored their images from the show below.

If I do 4, not saying I am, but just… er… if I were to, I would make sure it would be state-of-the-art of whatever the new greatest thing in 3D, how you do it..."
He also touches briefly on a "small" movie he is doing first and then he will know more about a 4th movie with Steven Spielberg. The small movie might just be Bad Boys 3, who knows?

Site sponsor Kapow Toys has let us know that we can expect Asian market exclusive reissues of G1 Rodimus Prime and Sideswipe sometime in late December. No word on pricing or packaging, but it's believed they will come in the same packaging as the Toys"R"Us exclusive reissues from a few years back. We'll keep you posted.

The figure is pictured with a translucent sword, mace, and a third unknown accessory (possibly a folding stock?). Like the G1 toy this figure transforms into a handgun, though it's hard to get a sense of scale with no other objects in the any of the images that have been mirrored below.

Spielberg definitely wants Bay for another Transformers film, and Bay doesn't seem as adamant about leaving the franchise as he once was.
The first quote from Spielberg comes from the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly:
The question was asked if Spielberg thought there would be another Michael Bay Transformers movie to which he said:
I hope so, because I think he made the best of the three with this last one. I certainly can’t imagine anybody other than Michael being equipped to make another Transformers. He’s invented a genre and he’s got the secret formula.
How did I know someone’s going to ask me this question today? We’re talking about it, but there’s nothing right now. I’m going to do a tiny movie first, then we’ll talk about it, if I potentially do it.

Autobots, roll out! The world's first Transformers theme park ride opens in Asia at Universal Studios Singapore (USS) on Dec 3 in time for the school holidays. The world premiere was announced on Dec 2, a day before its official opening to the public. Guests to Transformers The Ride will get to board a new Autobot, Evac, specially created for the attraction. They will get to experience a four-minute epic motion thrill ride which takes them zipping through subway tunnels, down city streets and across rooftops, with the Decepticons hot on their heels. Whether or not you liked the time jump to the far flung future of 2005, it looks like season 3 of Transformers Generation 1 might start airing on the Hub. Fellow Fan site The Allspark is reporting that the first episode of S3 The Five Faces Of Darkness Part 1 is scheduled to air December 10 with a repeat viewing on December 15.

Opening a day early, Transformers The Ride has launched at Universal Studios, Singapore! The 3d motion ride comes straight from the movie series with a new Character, Evac and maintains the fast paced, high action explosiveness of the movie trilogy.

Did you think there was something that was a little off with the X-Transbots Ironhide and Ratchet images that were posted yesterday morning? There's a good reason for that, it turns out they're not prototypes at all, but paper crafts. While X-Transbots is planning to produce versions of both characters, these images were posted to their facebook page to give fans an idea of what their figures would look like in robot mode. They later posted that they would be releasing ABS prototype images soon.

A quick note for all would-be interviewers looking to get in a word edgewise with veteran Transformers voice actors Peter Cullen and Frank Welker when you've got them both in the same conversation: give up now and just let these two talk. The men behind Optimus Prime and Megatron have not only worked together for decades on shows outside of Transformers, but are good friends as well, with an easy rapport that you catch almost immediately when they get on the phone. The duo is indispensable to the 25-plus year old franchise, and it would be difficult to image what shape the the two men in their respective roles.
December 6th will see the DVD release of Transformers Prime: Darkness Rising, the Shout! Factory disc collecting the first arc of the new Hasbro-produced CG series on The Hub. Once again pitting the Autobots against the Decepticons in their seemingly eternal struggle, the battle returns to Earth with Megatron planning to escalate the conflict using the "blood" (as much as giant robots can be said to have blood) of ultimate franchise baddie, Unicron.
With the disc on the way next week, we thought we'd chat with Welker and Cullen--or at least let them talk while we listend--about the legacy of their characters, the unique working rapport they've developed over the years, and how innovations in CGI has allowed for more drama in Transformers.
Geek: How have you guys been enjoying working together on the current season of Prime?
Cullen: I gotta say it’s just a wonderful pleasure to be able to see Frank again and to work with him. We’ve reincarnated our glory days of Transformers and picked up where we left off. And it’s a riot.
Welker: Well, I will second that and working with Peter’s always a treat—we never quite know what’s going to happen from day to day, but it sure is great to see each other and reestablish old ties. You know, we have this rivalry of good and evil going back and it’s just fun to do battle with someone who you just like. [both laugh]
