What should we call this upcoming toy, Transformers Bumblebee Optimus Prime sounds odd but Optimus Prime from Transformers: Bumblebee movie is a real mouthful. Regardless, we knew we were getting another voyager Optimus Prime in 2019 (along with the Movie 1 voyager Optimus Prime and the DOTM Leader Optimus Prime) and we just learnt that it was going to be Optimus as he looks in the Bumblebee film, which is a hybrid design of the movie-verse and G1 (what many fans have been asking for).
And now we get a good look at the toy. It looks like G1 Optimus but with more bits and bobs jutting about (almost like robotic innards at the articulation points). We currently do not know if the alt mode will be cybertronian or earth based. Some have mentioned that it may borrow transformation from the Siege voyager Optimus Prime, with the windows beign the only parts that the alt mode and robot mode share. What do you think? Let us know! We thank Seibertronian Mad Project for sending us the image below.

Thanks to fellow Seibertron user, SillyMcGilly, we've learned that Transformers Universe Thailand Facebook Group has leaked a look at the instructions for a potential Studio Series toy of Optimus Prime as seen in the Transformers Bumblebee movie!
While there isn't a lot to go on as we see a close up of the figure's chest shoulders and head but we can see that it's like all other Optimus in the line so far and is a Voyager class and is given the number #38, meaning that if indeed real, he'll be in the wave after Bonecrusher and 2007 Optimus (potentially).
Please bare in mind that we have had no official word from Hasbro on this figures existence so please treat all news on the subject till confirmed.
What do you think of this? Too good to be true? Or a bought on sight must-have? Let us know in the Energon Pub and stay tuned to Seibertron for all the latest news and reviews.

What might probably be the biggest news of the week has possibly given us another rather big reveal, unintentionally. We just newsed the first look at the Transformers reboot from IDW. In it, we see art of the Siege toys, down to swivels, pegs and pins. We can see Starscream, Megatron and of course Optimus. However, the Optimus body used in the picture is not the Siege voyager toy from wave 1. Instead, Optimus Prime is sproting the body of the inner voyager from the leader class Ultra Magnus. The chest looks retooled but still has a similar shape and a bigger giveaway is the tab near his feet.
We know that the only other leader class toy from Siege will be Optimus Prime and this may be our very first look at the inner robot. Which would mean that Siege leader class Optimus Prime would be a redeco/retool of Ultra Magnus. Of course, this is just speculation, but with such an attention to the toy details, we did want to bring it to your attention.
Also, in Transformers Siege news, Walmarts in Canada recieved a specialized display from Hasbro to highlight the toys. All classes, except for leaders, can be found on a two story carbdoard display stand with Siege art. You can see it below.

Well it's the moment we all knew was coming when Optimus Prime 25# hit the stands, and the curtain fell on the old IDW continuity. IDW have given us the first details of the reboot of their Transformers line in Spring 2019. Thanks to fellow Seibertron user, Targetmaster Joe for sharing this on the boards as well.
The new comic (which is just titled Transformers at the moment) will be biweekly and will start at a point before the Great War, with the first ever murder in Cybertronian history taking place, an act which brings with chaos and upheaval. IDW have also given us the creative team working in this new series (which uses the Siege toys as a basis for the character designs). The team is as follows:
Writer: Brian Ruckley
Artists: Angel Hernandez and Ron Joseph

Cybertron’s Golden Age of Peace and Prosperity,
Shattered by a Single Death
San Diego, CA (December 18, 2018) — IDW Publishing proudly announces that a brand-new Transformers series will debut in March 2019 that will explore the very moment when a glorious, peaceful Cybertron begins its downward spiral into chaos.
Available twice monthly, IDW’s Transformers comic will be written by Brian Ruckley, author of the Godless World fantasy trilogy, and illustrated by Angel Hernandez (Star Trek: Discovery – Succession) and Ron Joseph (Micronauts: Wrath of Karza).
In this new Transformers comic, IDW will explore Cybertron in ways never seen by audiences before – delving into an idyllic society, peaceful for thousands of years, as it faces the most momentous event in its history: the mysterious end of a single life. Through the eyes of young Bumblebee and his friends, fans will witness conspiracies forming, harmony giving way to conflict, and the very fabric of Cybertronian civilization tearing itself apart.
“Bringing Transformers fans this story is a real privilege,” says Brian Ruckley. “But just as important, it’s an amazing opportunity for new readers to discover and explore one of the biggest universes – and one of the best casts of characters – that science fiction has to offer, and to get in right at the start of a truly epic saga.”
Ron Joseph says, "In my youth, I devoured everything Transformers – toys, comics, the cartoon, the movie – with a Unicron-like hunger. ‘Robots in Disguise’ dominated my every waking moment. To join IDW’s creative team for the launch of a Transformers comic is staggering, and easily one of the greatest moments of my life."
“We are eager to begin this new chapter in Transformers storytelling,” says Michael Kelly, Hasbro’s Vice President of Global Publishing. “We are excited to begin a tale that will be accessible and appealing to readers unfamiliar with Transformers lore, while still providing the depth and drama that our long-time fans expect. It’s a big responsibility, but we’ve got the right team and the right characters to do it.”
The debut issue of this new Transformers comic will be available with multiple cover variants, by artists Gabriel Rodriguez, Angel Hernandez, Casey W. Coller, and Freddie E. Williams II. Issue #2, also available in March, will feature covers by Nelson Daniel, Ron Joseph, and Jeffrey Veregge.
For information on how to secure copies of IDW’s new biweekly Transformers series, please contact your local comic shop or visit www.comicshoplocator.com to find a store near you.

The latest wave of one step Transformers from the Cyberverse line is hitting retail across North America and fellow Seibertronian Chuck Dawg has reviews of the three new molds, Optimus Prime, Megatron and Starscream, for anyone interested.
chuckdawg1999 wrote:I've always been a fan of the One-Step style figures so when we saw that there would be G1-ish styled figures released in the Cyberverse line I was quite pleased. Well, for one reason or another these have been somewhat hard to find in certain areas but I got lucky and am VERY happy to bring them to you now. If you're going to buy one, Starscream is my personal favorite, but all of them would make for great desk toys.

Many were hoping that the Botbots would be found in stores soon especially since it is easier not to score so many doubles when you can actually see what is inside the multipack.
Well every single release has now hit Canada at Toysrus stores. The 5 packs are $12.99 and the 8 packs are $19.99 CAD. There is currently a Buy One Get One 50% off which includes all Transformers at Toysrus (you may need to remind the cashier since them arriving after the begining of the sale may require some workaround) making these even cheaper. As you will see in the images below, a lot of figures repeat eachother in the packs so there is a guide available showing which packs to by to get the entire set withthe least doubles possible. You can find that guide here.
This is great news to many who were hoping to use these as stocking stuffers this Christmas. If you want to see these toys in detail before you buy them, we have a gallery for every single character here.

After Hasbro made a surprise tweet revealing the existence of Nitro Series Dropkick and Blitzwing we now have a clearer look at the pair. Coming from regular breaking news source Snakas we get to see a better view of Blitzwing in package and Dropkick in what looks to be a series of stock photos. As with other Nitros they come with Energon cores to enhance their alt modes.
Articulation is pretty minimal like the rest of the line, but is that double elbows I see on Dropkick? Sure, it's all for the transformation, but take the extra range of motion where you can get it. I mean, Nitro Bumblebee doesn't even have elbows and it's his toy line!
So what do you think of Nitro Dropkick and Blitzwing? Sound off in the Energon Pub and keep coming back to Seibertron for all the latest Transformers news.

While the US has been having fun with new generations line toy for a little while (as per usual), Siege has finally hit Canada all at once. Here is a quick rundown of where certain classes are found in various retailers:
Walmart: New Siege display (picture below) for Deluxes and Voyagers. These are apart from the Transformers section, in a central aisle.
Toysrus: While the Battle Masters were already reported, they now have the Micromasters, Deluxes and Voyager classes.
EB Games: They have the Micromaster two packs.
The prices are the same across the board with the Micromasters at $12.99, Deluxes at $29.99 and Voyagers at $39.99. These are all in Canadian dollars. Like in the US, the MSRP is made to match the movie figures price jump we saw last year with The Last Knight. Of course, there are always deals and right now at Toysrus there is a BOGO 50% off sale. So buying two Siege deluxes gives you 25% off each figure.

Star Trek vs Transformers artist Philip Murphy posted one of the most awesome Transformers tweets of the year. He posted his design of the USS Enterprise transformed into its robot form. The robot is called Fortress Tiberius and looks very much like you would expect with a name like that, sporting Fortress Maximus' head. Of course, this is just for the comic book series and not for any toyline, but it is an awesome design. The tweet says that we can see more of this in the Star trek vs Transformers #3.
It was an amazing opportunity to get the chance to design the ICONIC! Enterprise as a Transformer , if you want to see how Fortress Tiberius comes to be check out Star trek vs Transformers #3

While the Transformers Cyberverse Optimus with Battle Trailer playset is a Toysrus exclusive anywhere which still has a Toysrus, we now know who is going to carry it in the US: Walmart. It has been found in stores very well stocked for the rather affordable $30 USD (see this Optimus actually comes with a trailer and costs $20 less than the upcoming G1 reissue). This was part of a new Bumblebee themed display sent to Walmart from Hasbro. The display also had Studio Series figures and the latest wave of deluxed sized Rescue Bot Academy figures which includes Hot Shot. Those were priced at $7.88 and you can talk about them in their thread if you so desire. We thank Scottimus Prime for letting us know of this sighting.
