The Shatterred Glass line is finally revealed by Hasbro. There will be 5 figures for now part of this capsule and the first figure revealed is Blurr.

The Hasbro Pulse Fan Fest brought us some great new reveals to go with the ones form IGN yesterday and most of them are now available for preorder on Hasbro Pulse. We will have the links below first followed by the images. Along with wave 3 from the Kingdom line (which includes commander class Rodimus and the titan class figure called Autobot Ark), we also have an exclusive effects parts pack featuring a Ractonite redeco called Tricranius.

Alright, so Hasbro Pulse Fan Fest happened and the big take away was the entirety of Transfomrers Kingdom Wave 3. It is exactly as was predicted earlier on but now we have images. So you will see the newly revealed voyager Rhinox, deluxe Tracks and Wingfinger, and core class Soundwave and Draconite (which is a redeco of Vertebreak). There is also a blast effects pack that comes with a redeco of of Ractonite. A really big takeaway though is that the fossilizes have a planned combined mode with a dedicated combiner head.

There was also a reveal of a Pulse exclusive Shattered Glass line which will come with comics and exclusive covers. The first figure revealed was Blurr. While they say it is Pulse Exclusive, the fact that we got listings on Amazon Australia gives us an idea that Hasbro is finding other avenues for these toys in the international markets.

Lastly, they also revealed an Optimus Prime which can Transform by itself. It is available on Pulse for $699.

Description of Upcoming Transformers Kingdom Terrorsaur Toy

One of the most discussed Transformers toys rumoured to come out this year is Terrorsaur. Some people have supposedly seen the toy and some descriptions of what they saw are leaking across the web. We won't reveal the source here but we will share what we read. What you will see below is a description of an image, so there is no sense of scale.

I've seen a pic of Terrorsaur, looks pretty good for an Airrazor retool

Pteranadon mode looks good to me, with the concession that like most TFs with jet/aerial modes it looks best from the top.

He looks decent in botmode, a bit sleek maybe, and the wings on the back are quite off model but will probably not be an issue when you have the figure in hand.

It looks like he has a faux chest piece made to look like the back of the Pteranadon so they didn't have to reorient the transformation scheme.

I'd say on the whole it's the Botmode that's compromised (and only barely) which was the right choice as Terrorsaur's onscreen transformation involved CGI magic...

Can't tell size from the images I've seen, but a pretty significant re-tool.

From what I can tell the major shared parts are the lower legs the forearms and potentially some of the internal skeleton/structure.

Head(s), wings, chest, waist, feet etc all look to have new sculpting

To be honest he's not really show or toy accurate, but you can tell the team at Hasbro have done their best within the retool budget allowed.

Pteranadon head (articulated opening mouth) on the back in botmode, and what looks like a faux chest that remains the chest in Pteranadon mode.
Wings are tip down (not upside down like the OG toy).

Review for IDW Transformers Beast Wars 3

This is the issue where Dinobot turns and I think it sucks. There, that's the review in a nutshell. Of course, I will dive more into it but that's all this issue will be about because for the most part, that's all that happens. I don't mind that this is all that happens, but if the idea of a longer format retelling of a familiar story is to get more from the characters, this issue really fails at that. The golden rule for visual mediums is to show and not tell. And here we get both show and tell, with Dinobot giving a ridiculously long speech that is essentially the same line over and over again said slightly different as he battles his way through his Predacon brethren. And it becomes pretty one note fast. Which is a major insult to Dinobot, a character that I always felt was the opposite of one note. What is awesome about Dinobot is that in the show, it always felt like the Maximals still had a Predacon amongst them. Here he is reduced to basically already being a maximal, a warrior with the heart of gold spouting some quotes of honour. One of the most layered characters in all of Transformers history now reduced to a trope, it's sad.



It also makes no sense in the story. He's been with Megatron's crew for a while, he knows how deviant Tarantulus is and how bloodthirsty Terrorsaur is and he stayed around. But now I guess he has to join the Maximals for it to be like the show, so let's quickly make that happen now that they have crash landed. I realize now how smart the original show was to have him be rejected from the Predacons rather than leave of his own accord. Because or else, it just doesn't make as much sense. And I really thought he wouldn't "turn" so early, and we'd have time to see him interacting as a Predacon with the other Predacons but that's not the case.



There's a trick to knowing if the characters feel true to me, it's having them speak as the voice actor while I read it. It works for Rhinox, most of the Predacons (especially Megatron, yesss) and Rattrap. But not with Dinobot, nor Cheetor and not Optimus Primal. I said in the last review that we are seeing how his changes to his character have repercussions and how it could be interesting but now it's getting annoying. I don't mind him being more adventurous than before but here he sounds like an idiot and by no means a leader of any sort.



And the art hasn't changed, so if you didn't like it, nothing here will change your mind. I personally do not like it and I find the changes to Dinobot's look with the extra spikes really odd. Those spikes aren't even thematic to his beast mode, so what gives? There are a few other shortcomings in the storytelling. During the fight between Dinobot vs his 6 fellow Predacons, there is a lack of fluidity in action shots where a lot happens in the gutter (between the panels). So in one panel you'll see him facing the team at more than arm length away, and in the one right after you have Terrorsaur landing on Scorponok after being thrown. John Burcham is great at dynamic scenes, like the fights in last issue, but he feels shortchanged here. Instead of better fluidity in the fighting, we get a page dedicated to doors being shut. Yay.



I was ok with the series so far but this is the worst issue yet and I have yet to see a reason for this series to exist. But hey, that retail incentive cover by Josh Perez is pretty kick ass!

Additionally, while it's pointed out that the chest piece of the Ark can turn into TELETRAAN-1, it doesn't mention the robot mode the computer can turn into as well...Mainframe!

The IGN article states that these will be available from July but will be available to preorded on HasbroPulse.com on April 9th (this Friday!) After the Fan event, presumably along either the rest of the reveals.

Greetings Seibertronians! Following on from our earlier news of brand new listings found, and one of them being Blurr, there was some discussion at how this Blurr would look. Well Thanks to the intrepid skills of fellow Seibertronians, Sabrblade and Chriphord, we now know that this is is Shattered Glass Blurr!

It should be noted though that while the original Shattered Glass Blurr (seen as the article thumbnail), was a redeco of Armada Blurr, its likely that this one will just be a redeco of the recently released Studio Series 86 Blurr. We'll endeavour to bring you pictures as we get them.

There was a few other figures said to be part of this line including Megatron, Starscream and Jetfire.

Ok, so Amazon Australia just put up a bunch of new listings. Some we already saw before or knew were coming, like Terrorsaur and Artfire, but there are some new ones like Goldbug. There are also some real puzzling ones like a "Unicron Galvatron" which is a seperate and pricier listing that the Kingdom Leader Galvatron. We knew it was coming but now we have the official reveal from Takara for Transformers Masterpiece MP-52+SW Skywarp.

It is, of course, a redeco of Starscream, with a wonderfully screen accurate deco. While it will be available everywhere through asian imports, for Japanese fans, pre-orders on Takara Tomy Mall will be open only from April 7, 2021 to May 21, 2021 for 27500 Yen (about $250.48 USD). It will be released at the end of December 2021. Those purchasing it from TTMall, along with Thundercracker, can send proof of purchase to get a free coronation accessory set. That set is pictured below along with all the accessories Skywarp comes with, including:

Godzilla Vs Kong Director Says He Didn't Want to Make the Same Mistakes as Bay's Transformers Films

Inverse had an interesting interview with Adam Wingard, director of Godzilla Vs Kong. In it, the focus is on Mecha Godzilla, as it is the only new Monsterverse design that debuted in the film. A big part of the article is Wingard recalling watching Transformers Dark of the Moon, which serves as an inspiration to him for what not to do. It is in this excerpt below:

Wingard says that when it came to Mechagodzilla, he was more focused on avoiding the mistakes of previous films than on copying some other classic sci-fi robot. The director is talking about one terrible movie in particular: Transformers: Dark of the Moon.

“I remember watching the third Transformers movie in the theater,” Wingard recalls. “It was one of those things where I was with a date, and we got there late, and the only seats that were available were literally in the front row. And so I'm sitting there watching Transformers 3 in the front row, and I couldn't tell what the hell was going on.”

“The Transformers, they just looked like metal. They looked like a plane crash. So I thought, that's the thing I wanted to avoid. They were too complex. There are too many moving parts, and I couldn't latch on to anything. Nothing felt iconic with that Transformers design.”

“The Transformers animated movie from the '80s with Orson Welles was one of the best movie experiences for me as a kid growing up,” Wingard says. “Period.”

T-Wrecks Confirmed as Red Card Exclusive and More Info on Kingdom 4 Pack

Earlier this morning we got some shots of the upcoming T Wrecks figure based on leader class Kingdom Megatron. We now have a proper listing to go with this figure and a 4 pack.

T Wrecks is a Red Card exclusive which means he will only be available for purchase online with Target's partnered credit card (the red card). He will be $50, the standard leader class price. The 4 pack will be $80 and just a normal exclusive (no need for the special credit card). It is called the Transformers Worlds Collide Multipack which may be a reference for characters from the Beast Wars era and G1 era both being part of the Kingdom line. These have not been leaked in any way so far so we have no clue what figures may be included. Although $80 is the price of 4 deluxes.

The images from fellow Seibertronian JTPrime17 also give you the DCPI which you can use when calling Target to see if they have these toys in hand, whenever they come out.

War for Cybertron Kingdom T-Wrecks In-Hand Images

Thanks to Seibertronian Mindmaster for pointing us towards this Instagram post by Kremzeek Reviews we finally have full, in-hand images of the Kingdom Beast Megatron redeco T-Wrecks! In Beast Wars, T-Wrecks was a straight-up Maximal redeco of Megatron, and that continues here. We get several great images of T-Wrecks in his robot and alt modes, showing he's every bit as imposing as Megatron.















While he hasn't been officially revealed, T-Wrecks is rumored to be a Target exclusive in the U.S. Unfortunately, there's no word on when he's expected to be released, or how he might be available outside the U.S.
