Summer is here and that means it's time for a new episode of the Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast. Of course, every time of year means that. Every two weeks means that, or sometimes three like in this case, but at least during the episode you won't have to hear too much of that kind of rambling from host Scotty P and pals Megatronus and Rotorstorm - or will you? Prime VS Prime made a video review of WFC Kingdom deluxe Red Alert! This toy is a repaint/retool of the previous Siege Red Alert. He now wear his Earth mode "Lamborghini" mode in glorious sulpt details and more colors than ever! He also come with two weapons: his gun and missile launcher. You can even combine the gun and light bar to form an axe!

This Red Alert is a E.B Games exclusive in Canada as for now.

Top 5 Best Bluestreak Transformers Toys

Top 5 Best Bluestreak Transformers Toys


5. Transformers Generations GDO Legends Bluestreak (Silverstreak)

This Legends toy does a great job of capturing the visual cues of the original toy in a nicely updated design. The engineering also pulls a lot of good things from the transformations of previous Datsun toys. Ending up with a nice little design that's a hoot to play with. What makes this version of the mold even more special, is that he was retooled with gripping hands, in which he can hold the awesomely G1 styled blaster that was added to the figure.






4. Siege/Earthrise Bluestreak

The Prowl mold we got in Siege was fine, albeit a little vanilla. It did the job better than any mold before for a classics collection but it seemed to miss a je ne sais quoi. Well whatever Prowl was missing, Bluestreak found it. The paint job here just makes the mold pop! And having those extra two guns makes it feel more complete, especially since they peg into holes found on all versions of this mold. The Earthrise mold was just as good and simply served to give fans an earth mode option. Whichever one you get, both are the new definite Bluestreaks in any classics collection.











3. Transformers G1 1984 Bluestreak/Silverstreak/Streak

An oldie but a goodie. The Datsun mold is one of the pinnacles of the G1 era and a classic look for Autobots with the front of the car becoming the chest. Bluestreak's silver worked very well with the sportscar look.








2. Transformers Alternators Silverstreak (Streak)

Easily one of the better Alternators designs/toys. It was the first mold released and gave us an idea of what the line was about, making toys that could be in a model car collection but that could still transform. It was a precursor to the Masterpiece cars with the idea of what a G1 character would look like if they turned into realistic vehicles, which is an awesome concept. This particular mold retained some of the fun G1 aspects of the transformation along with the overall look when it comes to the chest and legs. That headsculpt is just excellent, at least for the time and it has the great distinction of being the only Hasbro product from that line that was fully painted. Plus, that Suberu Impreza alt mode is really cool and since this is an Alternators toy, you get all the fun that came with the line, like interiors and opening hood and doors. Definitely a highlight of any Bluestreak collection.
















1. Transformers Masterpiece Bluestreak

Not only did the excellent Masterpiece Datsun mold give us Bluestreak in two G1 silver decos but we also got a Blue Bluestreak, which is a dream come true for many Bluestreak fans. And they made that deco count, as you can see from the images below.






Honourable Mention: Takara Transformers Adventures Bloody Knockout

This is more for fun. Nowhere was this toy ever mentioned as Bluestreak but when looking at that deco it is hard not to make a connection. That alt mode deco looks dead on as Bluestreak and it makes Knockout look really good, see for yourself!

Studio Series News with Latest Leaders found at Retail and New Product Reveals

Firstly, the final Studio Series leader class toys of 2021 are out at US retail. Those are Grindor with Ravage and Slag. They were found at Target in Virginia by TF fans Bryanwes and mlgpapalouie. As predicted, Grindor is out before Hasbro officially revealed him.

We also finally have stock images for Studio Series ROTF Bumblebee, Jolt and Sweep. As the Studio Series 86 line is all about movie accuracy, the Sweep is indeed almost identical to Scourge. The only difference with this toy seems to be that he has the "closed" hand on the left. Scourge had been hard to find for many and the sweeps are supposed to all look the same as him so this just makes any army building easier and gives others a chance to add Scourge to their collection.

Jolt's box is rather noteworthy since this is the very first accurate image we have ever had of his final look in the movie. These product images came from a site called koreannet.

Youtuber Deluxe Baldwin goes through every detail including the transformation, accessories and several comparisons with the previous versions of MP Starscreams plus other toys.

While we got a pretty good look at upcoming Transformers Kingdom deluxe Waspinator, we had yet to see anything of voyager Tigatron, and deluxes Slammer, Pipes and Shadow Panther. Well, the official Transformers website updated their Kingdom character line ups to include every toy in wave 4 so we now have artwork for all of them. While the Tigatron does look to be based on the Cheetor toy, remember that we were informed by people in the know that he was chosen to be a voyager later in the game, so this artwork might instead be representing how he looked like before that decision.

Slammer appears to be a completely new mold, which is in line with what we had heard. He is supposed to disassemble into 8 separate weapons and also turn into a tower that is compatible with 2013 Metroplex.

Thanks to fellow Seibertronian JTPrime17, we now have our first look at the upcoming warrior class Dead End figure from the Cyberverse line. It is part of the major restock this line will be getting in the fall, gearing up for the continuation of the show through TV movie form. This is a rather anticipated figure since the Cyberverse show really made Dead End become a bigger character than before and he was one of the central characters of the third season where the Quintessons take over and onle a few bots are left to reclaim Cybertron. This warrior class figure will be simpler and less articulated than a standard deluxe figure but it will be the same size and less expensive.

Fellow user LinaNui pointed us out that Youtuber chefatron found SS-76 Thrust!
He found it at his local Toys R Us in Asia.

This voyager class figure is a repaint/retool of SS-72 Bumblebee Movie Starscream. Thrust have a new head with a "gaz mask" much like Blitzwing. A "conehead crest" have been added behind his head to give him that iconic "conehead" look. He overall colors give strong Armada Thrust vibes.

chefatron may have landed on a serious lemon with his SS-72 Starscream. But this time around, it seems that Thrust's quality is greatly improved over his moldmate.

Kingdom Deluxe Red Alert found at Canadian Retail

We have news that the exclusive Transformers Kingdom deluxe Red Alert has been found at Canadian retail. Ultra Mad found them at a EB Games in Montreal, Qc. It was priced at 32.99, same as all other kingdom deluxe figures. It comes in a solid case (meaning just that figure multiple times).

It is very IMPORTANT to remember that this is always the case every year, where this toy will appears at EB Games Canada before Walgreens in the US. If you are American and you rush to Walgreens after reading this, all you will get is disappointment. These will be found in the US during the fall stocking of the toy section for the holiday season.

Review for IDW Transformers Beast Wars #5

This was a very pleasant issue to read and as a Beast Wars fan, I had fun. What I always loved in the original series was that the limited cast meant you could often have them all in the same scene or within the same show, and you got to know them better. You could say that second to beast modes, that's the biggest difference between Beast Wars and G1, which had an ever sprawling cast and new side characters added in every episode. This is the very first issue that really made me feel like I was watching an extension of the Beast Wars show, which is odd since this series was mandated to feel like the first few episodes at first.

This is also the issue where we get some backstory to the world and the alliance between Predacons and Maximals. We even get a better explanation at Dinobot's turn and his motivations. Of course, writing this AFTER the conflicting behaviour we read for a few issues is really poor thinking on the part of the writer. The handling of Primal was well done. From the first issue, we were told exactly how he differed to the show, which explained how he acted later. But for Dinobot, we get our explanation after being puzzled. This isn't memento, it's a Beast Wars comic. If there is something important we should know in a comic that is acting as a retelling of the show at times, then let us know.



There are of course come inconsistencies, like a character claiming ignorance to certain things while previous issues said that the reputation of certain Predacons was widely known. And most of all, DO NOT REFERENCE BETTER MATERIAL. Those jokes never ever work, ever. Didn't work for the Dark Phoenix film, didn't work for Coming to America 2, just stop it. Let's just move past that and enjoy the meat of this issue, which is... action!



Most of the issue is made up of a fight scene and it was a blast. Lots of fun interactions with great money shots like Primal and Megatron finally facing off. We even got to see Cheetor in action, which is great since that character has been sidelined all this time.

I have grown accustomed to the artwork so I don't mind it, but there are still some really jarring moments when it comes to scale, like this moment where Tarantulus pounces on Rattrap.



Some writing and scale inconsistencies aside, this was by far the most enjoyable issue so far. Since all that happened in previous issues is referenced in the dialogue, I would honestly recommend anyone who is interested in this series to just start with this issue, no need for the previous ones.

Oh and that one joke about school was quite funny.

Do you remember a listing for a Transformers Buzzworthy Bumblebee Evergreen 4 Pack? Well, we now have our first image of it. As with most of the Buzzworthy Bumblebee line, it is made up of reissues. With this pack, it's the 4 main Transformers characters from Cyberverse. And the Cyberverse show used the evergreen designs so hence the name. Also, this is the first ever toy in the Buzzworthy Bumblebee line to actually reflect the evergeen Bumblebee shown on all the boxes. These first images went sent to us by Scotty P who found these on the Brandora website.

The set consists of warriors Bumblebee, Optimus Prime, Starscream and Cybertronian Megatron.

Transformers Kingdom deluxe Road Rage is coming to Target in the US in the fall. She will be a red card exclusive, at least at first. It could be that people with a Target Red Card will be able to purchase her first and she will become available to pleebs later. Chefatron made a review of this toy so we get our best look yet at the figure. The only change from Tracks is the head. We also have images from the video comparing the two. This should be a Toysrus exclusive in Canada.

Transformers Masterpiece MP-52 Starscream unboxing and picture review

Greetings Seibertronians!

Today is a great day because I already got the highly anticipated MP-52 Starscream! This is the 3rd time the Seeker has been made into a Masterpiece. The first time, MP-03 had way too much Macross influence. It resulted in a magnificent robot, but the cartoon accuracy was basically zero. Then years later, they remolded it into MP-11. A much more cartoon accurate Starscream with coronation gear. However, some faults of the ancient mold remained and what's worse, an unforgivable drop in quality.

And then today, finally, the most cartoon accurate Starscream ever, MP-52, is here in a brand new and original mold!

Without further ado, let's unbox this bad boy!









At the bottom of the box, the main pieces of the stand.



Starscream come packed in jet mode, with all of it's accessories in full display.



Unlike MP-11, the null-rays are detachable and count as accessories. Of course there's the obligatory faces, blast effects, and gun Megatron. Let's not forget the tidbits that were used in ONE episode, meaning the drill, claw, and rock.



Right from the start I'm blown away. The null-rays actually TRANSFORM into the jet's missiles! There's also two display options. For a more streamlined look, the missiles are separated from the side of the jet and simply peg under the wings. The other is to attach them on the arms as it was with MP-11.





From the top, the jet is very clean and perfect.



Here's the side with his landing gears out. The jet here is wrong. So wrong... from a "true" jet perspective. In fact, that silhouette is 100% cartoon accurate! They could have just left the bot to "hang underside", but the designers went the extra mile to give it that very specific look. Impressive!

The stand is not the best, but it does the job:

There's a pair of blast effects specifically designed for the jet in flight:



If you want to plug in gun Megatron under the jet, better be prepared to play with Jet Starscream by going whoosh! and zoom! around the room because Gun Megs plug in where the stand must peg.



Here's MP-52 compared to MP-03G. No comparison with MP-11 because I don't want to transform that damn thing.





MP-03 really have the PERFECT jet mode. No contest. But ironically not cartoon accurate.







Transformation is much more straightforward than I expected. The instructions are clear enough and I was rarely stumped.

So we begin with the "gerwalk" or more accurately, "starting to transform" mode. I did not expected that mode to be official. There's even hinges and joints designed specifically for this mode! The flight stand is mandatory once you are done:







When transforming, there's a secret weapon revealed. Powered by solar panels. For when Starscream is in orbit?



When the transformation is done, you end up with the most cartoon accurate Starscream ever! As if he popped right out of the screen! The transformation was no harder than MP-03 or MP-11. Plus at no point was I afraid of breaking something.



However, that Starscream have a serious flaw appart the lack of a waist joint due to transformation. He have very hollow and light legs and he's VERY top heavy. The knees are too weak to support all that weight. This limit poseability by a large margin.

Still, he's incredibly beautiful.



Considering that a great deal of the jet (if not all) goes to the back, the backpack is insanely compressed.







Compared to the MP-03 original, the differences are as night and day.



Guess we will compare with MP-11 too...





MP-03 is a kibble explosion compared to the newest MP-52:



MP-11 was barely an improvement.





Friendly reminder why MP-11 was such a disappointment:
(And the thing cost the same price as MP-52 at the time!)



Compared to MP-11, MP-52 feel like a QUALITY and PREMIUM toy. He also stay SOLID in hand.

The one-shot-deal accessories. Not too shabby and they are small enough to not be a significant factor in the overall price.





Starscream can hold his null-rays in his hands because why not? However, it's a challenge for him to hold them because it's the usual bad slot design.



Same deal with gun Megs:


"All right, I'll shoot you over-glorified Targetmaster."
What?
"Nothing."

FIRE IN THE HOLE!



The stand is pretty much useless in bot mode. It can only plug in on the back so flight poses a impossible. At least this will make sure Starscream's weak knees won't betray you.





STARSCREAM WILL RULE THE DECEPTICON!
MUAHAHAHAHA!



Oh yeah, breasts missiles!



Overall, this MP-52 Starscream is the best MP seeker ever and truly worthy of being called the true successor of MP-03. I still adore MP-03 for what it is, but MP-52 truly deserves the title:
MASTERPIECE.
